Fun Facts
Main Street, U.S.A. is full of details...
Notice plaques in the ground reading 'Elias Disney - Contractor' with the location of 'Chicago', relating to Walt's father who was, for some time, a construction worker and the birth place of his son, Walt.
Listen out for some special sounds around the street - drilling from the Orbitz Dental School on Town Square, a dog barking near Flower Street and a piano lesson above Market House Deli. The sounds add to the realism of the street so well that security teams spent an entire night looking for the barking dog soon after park opening!
Countless names and nods to Disney history litter the windows all around. Try to spot "Main Street Marching Band - Leading the way since 1884: Michael Eisner & Frank Wells", relating to the Disney management team at the time of the park's opening. Dentists in training at Orbitz - "J. Burke, T. Delaney, T. Morris, E. Sotto, C. Tietz", the five Imagineering show producers for the park's five lands. And don't forget Dr. Sherwood - mentioned on both a window and at the boarding house - family friend and the first person to commission a drawing from a young Walt Disney.

Many guests see Main Street, U.S.A. as simply an elaborate "entrance" to the park, but there's much more to discover. Beyond the transportation rides, Liberty Arcade and Discovery Arcade are filled with fascinating exhibits and incredible artworks.
Main Street in Paris is truly the most detailed and lavish of them all, completely blurring the Imagineer's divide between "theme park" and "art". Make sure you spend some time here to soak up the atmosphere and spot all the details.
The stores of Main Street often remain open at least half an hour after the park's scheduled closing time, but another good time to explore the street is in the middle of the day, when crowds have dispersed into other lands.
