This unique old-fashioned telephone is a real hidden gem of Main Street. Tucked away in two corners of the Market House Deli, you can pick it up to listen in to a hilarious loop of “authentic” turn-of-the-century small town telephone conversations… until they hear your breathing and you’re rumbled!

Toy Story Playland Walkthrough Tour

Walk through Toy Story Playland in Walt Disney Studios Park at Disneyland Paris, a brand new land based on the Pixar movies which shrinks you to the size of a toy with three unique new rides and tons of clever nods and homages to the world of Woody, Buzz Lightyear, Rex and friends.

See the green army men training new recruits at Toy Soldiers Parachute Drop, guests riding the spings of Slinky Dog Zigzag Spin as he chases his own tail and the big thrill of RC Racer – a huge orange Hot Wheels halfpipe which shoots you back and forth into 90-degree dives!

Also in the new land, opened 17th August 2010 within Toon Studio, you’ll find a giant, talking Rex the dinosaur, the iconic ball from Luxo Jr, a Barrel of Monkeys store kiosk and walkthrough tunnel, planes, a jeep and soldier props, plus of course the giant Buzz Lightyear himself at the entrance, every now and then coming to life with his memorable recorded phrases in both French and English. His “laser” (a not-so-little light bulb) even blinks!

The video ends with a glimpse down the Ratatouille -themed street now situated at the back of the park, running the length of Toy Story Playland and speculated to become the home of a new dark ride for the 20th Anniversary of the resort.

“it’s a small world” Clock Parade

Tick tock, tick tock… Every quarter hour, the doors below the giant ticking moon and sun on the façade of “it’s a small world” in Fantasyland opens up to see a colourful parade of dolls from around the world, culminating in the current time being revealed with the crash of a symbol.

The clock parade is inspired by similar animated clocks around the world – and particularly in Europe – such as Prague’s Astronomical Clock.

The Old Mill

The Old Mill in Fantasyland turns again! In Summer 2009, the sails of the rustic windmill finally began moving again after several years of static. Alas, the buckets of Les Pirouettes du Vieux Moulin, the ferris wheel attraction which was added to the mill in 1993, remain closed and motionless.

Based on the 1937 Silly Symphonies cartoon of the same name, the mill still houses a small food vending kiosk selling wraps and other snacks.

Disney Magic Music Days

Disney Magic Music Days let the spotlight shine on bands and orchestras from schools and youth groups, giving them a unique and privileged opportunity to perform in Disneyland.

The schools, usually from the UK, are invited to visit Disneyland Resort Paris with a special scheduled spot on Fantasy Festival Stage, in the British quarter of the land. Regular park guests are free to take a seat and enjoy a few minutes of live music from these young musicians.

Hollywood Boulevard

Hollywood Boulevard is now well and truly the “heart” of Walt Disney Studios Park. To imagine that The Twilight Zone Tower of Terror was once planned to stand alone here with just the old La Terrasse for company is quite unbelievable once you step out onto this authentic 1950s boulevard, conjured up seemingly out of nowhere in less than a year to completely surround the Tower.

This video tour takes you around, up-close and along the boulevard to discover all the buildings, signage, shop windows and neighbourhood details (such as dustbins and newspaper machines) that makes this an Imagineering marvel.

Mickey Mouse waves Goodbye

When Disneyland Park closes its gates and you come to say goodnight and “a bientot!”, there’s occasionally a famous, smiling face to wave you off!

Mickey Mouse appears on the balcony of Main Street Station, saying goodnight and “see y’all real soon!” to his many adoring fans.

Studio Information Board

Did you know… Walt Disney Studios Park has the most advanced Information Board (or “Tips Board”) of any Disney theme park in the world?

Not only does it use LCD screens to update the queue times live and automatically from each attraction’s own turnstiles, leaving the Cast Members free to help guests (or in this case, try to jump in front of our camera!), but several smaller screens set into the board play previews for the park’s shows — particularly those ones such as CinéMagique where guests might not know what to expect.

15th Anniversary Decorations by Night

For the 15th Anniversary Celebration, Disneyland Park glows more magical then ever! Le Château de la Belle au Bois Dormant has been given a subtle birthday overlay of 15 candles and many classic Disney characters, whilst Main Street sparkles with glittering LED banners featuring Lumière.

At night, the atmosphere is pure magic.

Rivers of the Far West

Selected clips from the Riverboats, Keelboats, geysers and waters of Frontierland. The river lies eerily quiet around Boot Hill, save for the odd eruption from Old Faithful. The Coyote keelboat takes a test run around Big Thunder before beginning its day of pirating. Finally, the Molly Brown departs on another voyage across the great frontier.

With blue skies and a calm breeze, there’s nowhere on Earth more wonderful for a lazy afternoon…
