A new New Generation Festival video!

Mickey Mouse, Minnie, Goofy, Donald and friends come together for a grand celebration of the newest Disney heroes, a fun medley of music and character moments on the giant 360-degree stage in front of Sleeping Beauty Castle. The main event of the New Generation Festival, we captured it at twilight on a busy day in Disneyland Park:

After capturing a glimpse of the classic magic of Main Street, U.S.A. at night, let’s take a stroll through the brand new Toy Story Playland at Walt Disney Studios Park.

Here it is, a long awaited upgrade for one of our most popular videos! Are you ready to set sail on the happiest cruise that ever sailed ’round the world… in High Definition?

Compared to the video we’ve uploaded to YouTube, the version here on DLRP Magic!.com has an extra two minutes of footage at the end showing the exit path through the fabulous World Chorus post-show area. You can also download it for portable devices or in 720P HD for desktop and TVs.

Look out for special separate videos of both those animated World Chorus scenes and the famous Clock Parade outside very soon, to complete our Small World adventure!

After our last, very brief, video clip of The Old Mill, we walk back into the British quarter of Fantasyland and hop aboard the Disneyland Railroad for a “grand circle tour of the magic kingdom”!

If you ever want to show someone how beautiful and intricately designed Disneyland Paris is, this is the video to do it with. The moment the train bursts out the tunnel into Frontierland to the score of the Maginificent Seven is sensationally cinematic, surely one of the greatest “moments” in any Disney park.

…It’s just a shame that the announcements over the original narration can’t be a bit more subtle.

Unfortunately not a ride on Les Pirouettes du Vieux Moulin themselves, but a brief video clip of The Old Mill in Fantasyland finally turning once again — one of the many successes of 2009, our first video of 2010:

Coming shortly on the Video pages, our first HD video of Disney’s Once Upon a Dream Parade!

Our Video pages have just been relaunched with a brand new, brighter look.

It’s been over a year since the pages were last updated. Originally launched in Summer 2007, we updated the design in Summer 2008 and only slightly altered it again in April this year, to fit inside the new site style and add HD playback.

So what’s new in version 3? For a start — the pages aren’t entirely black, making things a bit nicer to browse. Other style tweaks include the “HD” and play icons, whilst the categories have been split into several sub-pages. You now see “All” videos first, by the date they were added, and can then filter these using the menu at the top — useful on the packed Entertainment page.

The free downloads for most of the recent videos have always been popular, but in the last design were hidden away. Now they’re right in the middle of the page. And, if your connection and computer are fast enough for HD, clicking the “HD” button on the video pages now saves this preference using cookies, so you’ll always be shown these videos first every time you return. Just click it again to return to normal playback.

Do we make it out alive? Watch and see…

Last week, we strapped you into the front seat of a car and drove you from the A4 autoroute right up to the entrance of Disneyland Paris. Now, completing our mini-series of “magical moments no normal person would ever normally think to film”, we do the same… by train!

In this special compilation, you get to see the brass band in the Eurostar departure lounge, the train pulling out of the stunning London St Pancras International, speeding through the countryside and arriving in Marne-la-Vallée as Space Mountain comes into view.

Keep watching until the end, and we spot another landmark of the region — the Eiffel Tower, literally towering over the landscape as the train speeds home through Charles de Gaulle airport.

Here’s something you don’t usually think to film, but is always one of the most magical moments at Disneyland Paris — Exit 14 from autoroute A4 and straight on ’till you see the magic!

It’s 8.53am, the sun is shining, the music is already ringing in your eyes. What a fabulous Disney day lies ahead! Take a front seat and follow the road to Disneyland, as if you’re there…

Coming soon, arriving at Disneyland Paris… by Train!

“Something’s brewin’, about to begin!”

Is this “streetmosphere” show, arriving on those winds from the East, the best current show at Disneyland Park? Quite possibly, given the few alternatives. Mary Poppins arrives via motor car, Bert via bicycle, for a Jolly Holiday in the park with their penguin butlers and Main Street’s Victorian townsfolk…

We’ve featured this show on video before, when it first premiered in 2008, but captured again earlier this year, it’s now available in higher quality and High Definition:

This video has already counted up an amazing 1,000 views on YouTube in just a few days, but notice that the version here is not only ad-free but extended by 2 minutes, with some fun extra footage of the characters posing for photos at the end (notice how Mary keeps everything neat and tidy, followed by a little nod of approval).

There are only two classic Disneyland keelboats still in operation… and they’re both in Paris! Fancy riding up top, right at the front, on one of them?

Based on the boats seen in Walt Disney’s film Davy Crockett and the River Pirates, the Coyote and Raccoon give guided tours of the Rivers of the Far West at a speedy pace and were finally reopened in 2007 after long being thought to become forgotten.

Overtaken in style and comfort at Thunder Mesa by the mighty stern-wheel riverboats, they’ve become the transport of choice for the roguish river pirates, who hide their hauls in Smugglers’ Cove, just next to the keelboats’ landing stage!
