Extra opening times and extra magic hours are available on the Calendar.

Monthly Park Hours for the first half of October 2010 and Extra Magic Hours for February 2011.

We can continue to see slightly shorter hours at Disneyland Park compared to October 2009, with the weekday hours for the first week cut back an hour from 7pm to 6pm and closing times on the first weekend trimmed by an hour from 10pm and 9pm to 9pm and 8pm, Saturday and Sunday respectively. Despite having three new attractions, the Studios sticks steadfastly to those 6pm and 7pm weekday and weekend closing times.

More time to play on late August weekends!

The full park opening times for the rest of September 2010 are now available, continuing the change we noticed earlier that Disneyland Park is losing an hour compared to last year.

There’s better news for August weekends, however, as the newly-updated hours there now give Walt Disney Studios Park an extended closing time of 21.00, 9pm, on 21st and 28th August — the first two Saturdays after the opening of Toy Story Playland, obviously presumed to be busy with visitors checking out the new land.

Have you paid a visit to Euro Souvenirland yet? This is our new website, launched late in 2009, which aims to collect and celebrate Disneyland Paris history — from 1992 to today.

It’s been a while since we featured the site here, so if you’ve not dropped by in all that time there’s a whole lot of new — or rather old — things to discover.

Some you might have seen, now re-scanned in high quality, others are completely new, with plenty of rarities. From unique construction views to parades of the past and closed attractions. Latest ride closures plus another new offer!

It’s another double update on the Calendar. First, new attraction Closure & Refurbishment dates for September, October and November, including “it’s a small world”, Buzz Lightyear Laser Blast and the two Storybook Land attractions.

A small refurbishment for Le Carrousel de Lancelot has also snuck into September, despite dates for the month having previously been announced, and the Blanche-Neige et les Sept Nains (Snow White) dark ride closure will in fact last until the 8th October, not the 1st as previously appeared.

The timing of the “it’s a small world” refurbishment suggests this will be the ride’s now (hopefully) annual clean-up and makeover for the wonderful “Celebration” Christmas overlay which returned last year after a long absence.

We moved to a faster, more reliable server over the weekend, and there’s more to come…

So far, you’re pretty much seeing an exact copy of all the pages, images and files that were hosted by our old web host. Almost every single one was copied across. Even so, you might notice everything loads that much faster than before with the same speed improvement DLRP Today saw when it moved here a few months ago.

The next task is to begin clearing out all the old and redundant pages from previous iterations of the website, then start afresh with more new Guidebook pages being the top priority, using the style we began to implement with the updated maps. New information, new pictures — and a lot of work, so thank you for your patience!

You won’t find better Disneyland Paris maps anywhere on the web!

Attraction closures have been updated for May 2010, with Dumbo amongst the list.

The classic Fantasyland ride will be closed from the 10th to 31st May according to the newly-published dates. It seems we say it with every closure, but this one really is much-needed. Hopefully a replacement for that faded circus canopy is on the way.

Closures & Refurbishments

Note that the Studio Tram Tour closure is now scheduled to officially end on 29th May. The official list also simply states that the two Storybook Land attractions (Casey Jr. and the canal boats) are closed in March, April and May. This matches with the sign placed at the entrance to the area which states it will reopen “in the Summer”.

Our interactive Walt Disney Studios Park maps have been given a new style and new attractions.

The hover maps, for the park and each of its four lands, are the first Guidebook pages to be updated in 2010 and feature a slightly revised page style that’ll hopefully soon be spread right across the website.

Of course, this is also a perfect opportunity to fit in a few new additions — alongside the classics like CinéMagique and Armageddon, we now find Toy Soldiers Parachute Drop, Slinky Dog Zigzag Spin and RC Racer, taking the park’s grand attraction total to 17.

We’ve also changed the “Restaurant” and “Boutique” categories to “Dining” and “Shopping” respectively, with the Shopping listing split into “Boutiques” and “Kiosks”, to make clear which locations are real, walk-in shops and which are simply retail stands. On the land maps, the sometimes unnecessary tabs have been cut to show all attractions, dining and shopping at once, together.

At last, Disneyland Paris opening times for the whole of next month are now available!

Hours are generous throughout the month, with 9 and 10pm closing times at weekends for Disneyland Park. Of course, Walt Disney Studios Park never gets to have any fun beyond 7pm…
