Update: September 2009 park hours

Thu, 02 Jul 2009 21:47:12 GMT

Park opening times for September 2009 were published today.

But, compare them to last year's hours and you'll see a noticeable cutback across the month. For the first week, Disneyland Park closes at 7pm (19:00) rather than 8pm -- nothing too major.

However, after this first week, Walt Disney Studios Park gets dragged back to its old 6pm closing time on weekdays for the entire month, whereas September 2008 saw it close at 7pm.

Update: Annual Passport restriction dates to April 2011

Thu, 02 Jul 2009 16:25:50 GMT

Forget 2010, the folks at the Bureau Passeport Annuel are already thinking up to 2011. Who knows what'll be happening then -- Toy Story Playland one year old, another theme year unfolding?

Anyway, you can find the full listings at the following links:

Note that the existing 2009 and 2010 dates have also been updated slightly to match the current published AP brochure (which can be seen in full on the Memorabilia pages). This lists a few different/extra dates compared to the official French website's pages.

There are also reports that the restriction dates for this July and August have been removed for Francilien and Fantasy passes, as they were last year. With the amount of restriction dates already incredibly low compared to, say, Disneyland California's passes (their local pass has only 170 available visit days, the next up just 215 - compared to Paris' 300 and 330!), it's lucky Dream AP holders get a heap-load of discounts to make that price worthwhile...

Memorabilia: Five days' worth of new items!

Thu, 02 Jul 2009 13:11:34 GMT

Having been following the new additions to Memorabilia via the homepage itself? No problem, let's get ourselves right up to date.

1992 park map, 'Celebration Continues' 15th Anniversary guides and programmes, merchandise tags showing the logo changeover between 2001 and 2002, and a Euro Disney Grand Opening commemorative ticket!

Bumper haul of postcards, including one from the grand opening of Space Mountain and three truly stunning "art cards" featuring park concept art. The latest annual passport brochure, too.

Couple of classic photographs, three different Buffalo Bill's leaflets and park guides and programmes from the launch of the 15th Anniversary.

Some brand new, rare park tickets and a beautiful grand opening stamp collection presentation folder.

No less than 4 brand new CDs, with full booklet scans, plus an interesting assorted mix of print items...

And look out for even more new items today!

In fact, the Memorabilia section is now one month old, holding 434 items! To commemorate this and say thank you to all of you who've visited or provided items and made it such a successful section, come back tomorrow for a special surprise...!

New: "I Own This!" button - build your memorabilia collection online

Fri, 26 Jun 2009 11:16:34 GMT

Our new Memorabilia section is almost a month old and it continues to grow!

Last week we gave the pages a clearer new design and gave you to option to comment on the items. And this week, we launch an idea which came from the very first of those comments -- the "I own this!" button.

We've now got over 400 items in the archive, but how many do you own? Click this button on any of the items (except plain maps or photographs, since they can't really be "owned") and that item will be added to a new page only you can see -- My Collection -- providing a fun way to keep track of your very own memorabilia collection, online.

In the future, we can even use this feature to provide a list of, say, the 10 most "owned" items throughout our collections.

Neat!

New: Memorabilia: Mission 2!

Tue, 23 Jun 2009 18:54:38 GMT

Thanks to some brilliant visitor submissions over the weekend, our online Memorabilia collection is now over 350 items strong and well on its way to 400!

Be sure not to miss all the new items from recent days, grouped together on these special pages:

Of particular note are the full page-by-page scans of the 1993, 1994 and 1995 park guides! Look out for the gradual addition of all the Phase 2 attractions such as Temple of Peril and Aladdin...

New: Fantasyland theatre pages

Tue, 23 Jun 2009 00:25:28 GMT

The two main Fantasyland entertainment venues have never been covered by our park guides before, so these are two brand new pages (with a few new photos, too).

Update: Latest park schedule to 3rd July added

Mon, 22 Jun 2009 21:46:12 GMT

The showtimes and information from the latest Programme has now been added to our Daily Park Schedules.

No major changes to report this time. Winnie the Pooh continues to return at weekends (shame we can't find out its erratic schedule a little further in advance, don't you think?) and -- here's the funny one -- Cinéma Mickey in Videopolis now has listed showtimes! Strange because all 8 cartoons add up to one hour -- it's really more of a drop-in thing, isn't it?

New Video: Playhouse Disney - Live on Stage! full show

Sun, 21 Jun 2009 08:13:46 GMT

We're delighted to present a brand new exclusive, original video. It's been a long time coming, but here it finally is - the full show in English:

If you've got a fast connection, be sure to watch in HD and fullscreen (click the monitor in the bottom-right of the player) for the best experience!

Listen out for that audience reaction when Mickey first pops up... and mostly from the parents and older audience members, too... is it safe to say the fifth new attraction at Walt Disney Studios Park is a big hit?
