Photos, memorabilia and more – step into the history of Disneyland Paris.

Have you paid a visit to Euro Souvenirland yet? This is our new website, launched late in 2009, which aims to collect and celebrate Disneyland Paris history — from 1992 to today.

It’s been a while since we featured the site here, so if you’ve not dropped by in all that time there’s a whole lot of new — or rather old — things to discover.

• A brand new section — the Gallery — already containing over 100 incredible photos from the resort’s past. Some you might have seen, now re-scanned in high quality, others are completely new, with plenty of rarities. From unique construction views to parades of the past and closed attractions. We’re currently adding a new photo every day from a contributor with a great collection of retro snaps like this one, never before seen.
• Plus — over 120 additional items on the Memorabilia pages. Including… Rare publications like this 1994 Magic Kingdom Club brochure, or the Walt Disney Studios Park guide map from its February 2002 previews. Even more classic postcards, complete holiday brochures from years gone by, and lots of fun miscellaneous items.
• And also — a teaser of the upcoming Timeline pages, giving a comprehensive look back over the many name and logo changes of Disneyland Paris.

Latest ride closures plus another new offer!

It’s another double update on the Calendar. First, new attraction Closure & Refurbishment dates for September, October and November, including “it’s a small world”, Buzz Lightyear Laser Blast and the two Storybook Land attractions.

A small refurbishment for Le Carrousel de Lancelot has also snuck into September, despite dates for the month having previously been announced, and the Blanche-Neige et les Sept Nains (Snow White) dark ride closure will in fact last until the 8th October, not the 1st as previously appeared.

The timing of the “it’s a small world” refurbishment suggests this will be the ride’s now (hopefully) annual clean-up and makeover for the wonderful “Celebration” Christmas overlay which returned last year after a long absence.

Next — another new special offer! All the latest dates, opening times and attraction closures on a refreshed Calendar!

The ever-popular Calendar has been given a quick refresh over the past week. New and updated info includes Monthly Park Hours to the end of August in a new larger format, Extra Magic Hours dates up to December and a few extra Season Dates such as Christmas, Halloween and next year’s Welsh and Irish events.

On Closures & Refurbishments you find the latest dates up to October, including lengthy refurbishments for Snow White and Phantom Manor.

Finally, our Special Offers summary has been summarised even more, putting all the current official offers on one page to make browsing through the latest discounts as easy as possible. There are also a few brand new offers, including specific dates for 1 Extra Day & Night Free (finally no trawling through the booking system) and an even more generous 2 Extra Days & Nights Free offer! We moved to a faster, more reliable server over the weekend, and there’s more to come…

So far, you’re pretty much seeing an exact copy of all the pages, images and files that were hosted by our old web host. Almost every single one was copied across. Even so, you might notice everything loads that much faster than before with the same speed improvement DLRP Today saw when it moved here a few months ago.

The next task is to begin clearing out all the old and redundant pages from previous iterations of the website, then start afresh with more new Guidebook pages being the top priority, using the style we began to implement with the updated maps. New information, new pictures — and a lot of work, so thank you for your patience!
