There are magical things happening at Walt Disney Studios right now… Attractions are being added, colours being painted and characters invading.
After five years of guests accepting the park has potential, that potential is now being realised and this Studio is finally coming of age. Management have done one of the best turnarounds in Disney history, accepting the park’s opening faults and allowing drastic steps to put things right. And so, with the help of some new photos by Kyoto from Disney Magic Interactive forum, here are the 5 steps of Walt Disney Imagineering’s studio transformation…

For months now every Disneyland Resort Paris fan has been straining their neck and trying to master the art of levitation to see over the long, blue Toon Studio fence. Since the weekend, though, they’ve finally been given something to look at on the fence - and not just those “rats with wings!” either…

Do you see it? Do you see it?! No? Well, in its own small way painting of the giant showbuilding for Crush’s Coaster, Studio 5, has officially begun! Unfortunately, the new splash of sky blue paint is currently a very tiny spot on the side of the building, hidden for the most part by the queue canopy of Flying Carpets Over Agrabah… They’re just teasing us now, aren’t they?

Washing back up on our side of the Atlantic for yet another Toon Studio story, we can see that, as WDS Fans reported yesterday, construction has progressed with the long-awaited addition of number 5 - the giant soundstage number - to the front of Crush’s Coaster. Over at Cars Race Rally, meanwhile, the queue building has suddenly raced ahead and more details about the ride have sped our way.

Get yourself on a plane to Orlando, and this “fall” you could experience some of the magic of Crush’s Coaster already, 7 months early! Pourquoi? Because Disney are playing their copycat games once again, and, after Space Mountain and Buzz Lightyear, Nemo is next on the attraction cross-overs checklist…

Since the metal framework was completed and the heavy concrete walls rose around Crush’s Coaster to create a new Studio 5, we’ve grown used to the square design and sharp edges of the building. But now, finally, the main building housing the “Coaster” portion of the ride is nearing completion, and a touch of classic Studio style has arrived…

After the release of the new 15th Anniversary logo, another logo was officially released, this time for Crush’s Coaster. The new logo features Crush himself with Nemo.

Construction at Crush’s Coaster has advanced well this week, with the front of the attraction coming together at a steady pace now. The metal beams which were previously lying in front of the attraction have now been assembled and fixed in place on the front of the building. They will provide the bare structure and support for the coral and rocks which will decorate the front of the building and hide the entry and exit holes of the coaster track.

It’s time for another action-packed construction update from the future productions at Studios! We’re currently 10 months away from the Toon Studio opening and around 15 months from Tower of Terror’s grand opening, so whilst things are definitely coming together, they’re coming together at quite a leisurely pace right now.

Construction of Crush’s Coaster in Walt Disney Studios Park has reached another milestone this weekend, as the exterior track for this indoor spinning roller coaster has now been completed.

Crush’s Coaster at Toon Studios is continuing construction at quick pace, as this latest photo shows. The photo, by “rocknroller” and posted by Grandmath on Disney Central Plaza forum, shows new metal supports rising diagonally out of the roof of the “Studio 5″ building.
