Spotting the details of a Twilight Zone redux

ImageSo the next big new attraction at Walt Disney Studios Park will just be a straight clone of the Californian version, will it? No, not quite… This third edition of The Twilight Zone Tower of Terror has arrived in Paris via Tokyo DisneySea no less, and it looks as if a little of that Japanese park’s infamous eye for detail has already rubbed off on the façade of our future Hollywood Tower Hotel…

Tower = Castle for 2008 calendar

ImageMerchandise for the 2008 season has begun appearing across the resort. Now, it’s a question almost everyone has asked - will The Twilight Zone Tower of Terror become the ‘Sleeping Beauty Castle‘ of Walt Disney Studios Park? Already, six months before the opening, it looks like we might have an answer. And, if the new 2008 Calendar is to be trusted, that answer is yes

The Rooftops of Hollywood, coo what a sight!

ImageThere’s no Mary Poppins connection, but these rooftops certainly are a sight. From plain steel frames surrounding The Hollywood Tower Hotel, two buildings on the future Hollywood Boulevard have suddenly leaped ahead with their own themed rooftops already in place. Apparently, the realism of these “movie sets” even stretches to a speedy construction!

Lightning strikes, Tower bolts ahead

ImageOur updates for The Twilight Zone Tower of Terror seem to have been lost in that infamous 5th Dimension lately. So, from now on, we solemnly promise to report every lick of paint, every terracotta roof tile and every piece of cracked brickwork added to the Tower. Well, almost. After all, it’s not every year we have a $160million, 183-ft tall E-Ticket opening at Walt Disney Studios, is it?

This is your chance to help name the new studio attraction!

Toon Studio Press Event: Animated Publicity

ImageOne of the most important aspects of a press event at Disneyland Resort Paris is the material the resort gives to its invited press and journalists. With that in mind, we’re looking at the final fruits of the press event - the full set of publicity photos - and you can tell us how well they did…

Toon Studio Press Event: Under the spell of darkness

ImageChances to see Walt Disney Studios Park in darkness are usually restricted to the cold Winter months, when the limited sun sets in the afternoon and guests are treated to the park at its very best, illuminated by colourful studio lighting from all angles. Luckily, we don’t have to wait until October to be the first to see Toon Studio under the magical spell of darkness…
