Stitch Live logo takes on television conventions

ImageThe final logo for ‘Stitch Live‘ has been revealed in a showreel for the ‘15th Anniversary Continues… Big Time!’ advertisements, with an unusual style. Unlike any Disney attraction logo to come before, Stitch’s television studio debut appears to take on all the characteristics of a TV title card.

England rugby team make headlines for Disneyland

ImageThe England rugby team visited Disneyland Resort Paris last Saturday, taking a day off with their families following victory against Tonga and giving some generous free headlines to the resort. If watching matches in the Sports Bar seems exciting, imagine a real-life Jonny Wilkinson strolling down Main Street

15th Anniversary EXTENDED… “en grande!”

ImageDisneyland Resort Paris has extended its year-long 15th Anniversary Celebration. Originally launched on 1st April 2007 and due to close on 31st March 2008, the celebration is now confirmed to continue through the entire 2008 season, with travel brochures already pushing the extension.

Pin Trading October 2007 releases

ImageChristmas comes early, Halloween appears as expected, Once Upon a Dream continues and no less than two retrospective pins take us back in time to 1999 and 2000… it’s the October 2007 pin releases! Also includes an announcement for this month’s Pin Trading Night.

Red carpet rolls into new Christmas promotions

ImageThe theme of a “red carpet to Disneyland” used throughout all advertising for the 15th Anniversary Celebration extends through the resort’s seasonal celebrations this month, as seen in some rather enchanting new promotional posters for the upcoming Christmas Season, just released by Disneyland Resort Paris.

The Twilight Zone means business, plus a new commercial

ImageThe Twilight Zone means business, and not simply with its faster-than-gravity drop. For Disneyland Resort Paris, the opening of The Twilight Zone Tower of Terror is their biggest new attraction launch for years, and a great chance for new and bigger business. The aptly-named DLRP Business Solutions are well aware — since last week, already advertising a very special elevator drop…

Rendez-Vous des… Rats?

ImageThe changes reported in late July for Rendez-Vous des Stars Restaurant at Walt Disney Studios Park have indeed taken place, and the park now finally holds a dining option more exclusive than counter service and more glamorous than cafeteria service (or ‘buffeteria’ as they insisted). However, one thing no-one expected was the new head chef of the reworked establishment…

Halloween festival launches to the power of 15

ImageThe official website and advertising materials have now officially launched for the 2007 Halloween season at Disneyland Resort Paris, with the tagline “Halloween to the power of 15″ and a style which suggests the festival may return more to its Frontierland roots following several slightly confused years. The launch also includes the new festival logo and some photos to advertise the Disney Villains’ Halloween Showtime

Pin Trading September 2007 releases

ImageSeptember 2007 is here already. Before we know it, the seasons of Halloween and Christmas will have taken over the Disneyland Resort Paris schedule. But before then, there’s still some late Summer magic and another great list of pins to wear your wallet out with. Once Upon a Dream Parade, Stitch Invasion, 15th Anniversary Retrospectives and an early Halloween spook all await this month…

Agrabah Café to reopen, but not for street rats

ImageWhen the Adventureland pages were updated on DLRP Magic! several weeks ago, charting the ‘Closed & Replaced’ features of the land wasn’t such a magical task. But, little did we all know, one of the most mythical and frequently missed former locations would suddenly present itself for a reopening later this year. However, to experience Agrabah Café, you’ll now need to be truly “one jump ahead”

Ratatouille infests cinemas, nibbles on tasty tie-ins

ImageSo we’re pretty much agreed that people don’t go to Disneyland to look at advertising. But we shouldn’t give movie tie-ins a bad name — some of them can turn out pretty tasty. Pixar’s latest triumph Ratatouille is right now infesting cinemas in France, Belgium, the Netherlands, Spain and Austria, leaving a trail of advertising for Disneyland Resort Paris and a couple of special free screenings for Shareholders and AP Dream holders.

Pin Trading August 2007 releases

Pin TradingIt’s the first day of a brand new month! What does that mean? A brand new list of brand new pins! Featured this month are Pixar’s brand new film Ratatouille, a Dreams of Power pin for the series celebrating the still-brand-new Disney’s Once Upon a Dream Parade, and a final brand new pin remembering the not-at-all-brand-new events of 1997. (Hopefully it features the 5th Anniversary rather than the Spice Girls…)

More gaps filled at Walt Disney Studios

ImageMissing items at Walt Disney Studios Park are being corrected at an exciting pace this year. Need an attraction with a morning “crush” to rival Big Thunder Mountain? Check. Need a ride for kids as popular as those in Fantasyland? Check. Need a big E-Ticket to get the crowds pouring? Almost-check. But what about a higher class restaurant, and a boutique in Toon Studio? They’ve begun filling those gaps too…

Third Quarter results: To infinity and beyond?

Image“Hot Dog!, Mickey must be exclaiming. The financial results for the Third Quarter 2007 are good, aren’t they? No - they’re really good. For a resort which last year published a revenue increase of 4.5% to now be on track for an 11% increase in 2007 is something of a dream for Euro Disney SCA. So, what’s going on? And what could this boost in business mean for the future of Disneyland Resort Paris?

Keelboats finally return! Critter Corral next?

ImageThey willthey won’t… they did! The River Rogue Keelboats finally reopened to the public this weekend after spending more than seven years out of service. Now that’s magic. But, as the park crosses another box on its Frontierland “to do list”, it appears they’re already hard at work on the next project for the Far West… and this one might not be a simple re-opening.
