In Video. La Parade de Noël became La Parade de la Nuit for the final two weeks of Disney’s Christmas Season, thanks to the extended opening hours of Disneyland Park and the shortened hours of daylight. For the very first parade of 2007, the park marked the occasion with two special guests next to Father Christmas - the 2007 ambassadors of Disneyland Resort Paris.

New Year’s Eve - the busiest day of the year at Disneyland Park, but the resort wasn’t given any favours when it came to the weather. As heavy showers and strong winds battered the park, the clock ticked down to midnight. Long queues, wet weather and a trimmed down fireworks show… could the magic break through to give a satisfactory soirée? With video.

In 2001, the popular “Sword in the Stone” streetmosphere show of Fantasyland, running since 1992, was banished from the royal kingdom forever. Now, over 5 years later, Merlin has finally broken the spell and returns five times a day for a limited time only!

It’s the Studios’ blockbuster new production, it’s getting everyone talking, it’s… The Storm Of December ‘06. We reported the situation on Friday with a run-through of events and damage following reported winds of up to 120km/h, and now there’s photos to prove it. Chante, C’est Noël - Tis that wonderful time of year! The Christmas Parade, Disneyland Park’s hugely popular parade overlay for the festive season, began on Monday, just one day after it finished its run as the Disney Villain Parade. To celebrate the very British tradition of Bonfire night, Lake Disney at Disney Village is currently being set ablaze by an enormous bonfire and spectacular fireworks, all choreographed to classic music from Disney’s Fantasia. The three performances each year attract thousands of extra guests from the UK and beyond, so what’s all the murmuring about?

Chante, c’est Noël! Not officially until Saturday, but already Main Street has begun its transformation into a festive Winter wonderland. Whilst the Enchanted Fairytale Illuminations have been in place for almost a month and Christmas has been taking centre stage in the boutiques for many weeks, the end of Disney’s Halloween festival on Sunday saw the full Christmas Season plans thrust into action - with a few changes along the way.

Pink Witches… Pirates… Disney Villains… Fantastical creatures… Ghost ships… and not a single Pumpkinman in sight! Disney’s Halloween Party Night 2006 promised an evening of entertainment based on ghostly pirates and rampaging Pink Witches, with meet ‘n’ greets, a Black Pearl Fireworks show and a strong blast of fire!

Breaking news just got in from Anthony who’s currently at Disneyland Park. It appears that the Christmas Tree has been installed again on Town Square! Management broke with this tradition 2 years ago by placing it right next to the castle, upsetting almost the complete fan community.

Since we’ve already taken a look at this year’s Disney Villain Parade and the new La Cavalcade de Stitch mini-parade, it’s probably about time to look at more horrors from Halloween 2006, such as the decorations. Four years ago, the Creative Entertainment department lived up to their name with the creation of the Pumpkinmen - a bizarre, unique being that would run amock across Disneyland Park during the season.
