(Video) Disney Characters’ Express

(1/04/2007 - 12:45) “Attention! Le petit train des personnages arrive! The Disney Characters’ Express is coming!” With a *choo choo*, a puff of smoke and a frenzied pace, the familiar Casey Jr train rolls into view, with a gleaming new look and some very special passengers. Experience it as if you were there, in pictures and a full video.

(Video) Once upon a dream/nightmare premiere

(31/03/2007 - 15:05) Disney’s Once Upon a Dream Parade officially premiered to much fanfare following the official anniversary launch ceremony. But they say there are two sides to every story, and this storybook parade is no different. Whilst the press received a “Once upon a dream” experience, for the rest of the parade route - and for the cast - it was more “Once upon a nightmare”.

(Video) Disney Characters’ Express press premiere

(31/03/2007 - 11:00) The official press premiere of Disney Characters’ Express starring Miley Cyrus (Hannah Montana) was met by a line of frenzied camera crews and reporters, whilst being watched over by entertainment vice president François Leroux. Amongst the rush, it was “All Aboard!” and no meet ‘n’ greets for guests…

(Video) Final rehearsals for new entertainment

(30/03/2007 - 16:00) Step into Disneyland Park with just one day to go before the Press Event, as we present selected video clips from the final rehearsals for Disney Characters’ Express and Disney’s Once Upon a Dream Parade, plus a glimpse at the first press film crew and some final spit and polish on Main Street just before the rainy parade.

Disney Characters’ Express exclusive preview!

Via our friends at Photos Magiques, we’re proud to present an exclusive first-look at Disney Characters’ Express - in both photos and video! The new morning parade performed a special twilight avant-première for invited press and travel groups, revealing the huge redesign of the old Casey Jr. float… and the mini-parade’s music. No, it’s not Dancin’!

Stars & Motor Cars - a second new 15th parade?

We just welcomed the new parade for the 15th Anniversary - so is that it? The way things are going, certainly not. The rumours which took flight way back in January 2006 have suddenly taken another step closer to truth, as time is called once again on the run of Disney Stars & Motor Cars Parade in Florida…

Grand farewell for the Wonderful World

The Wonderful World Of Disney Parade is no more, never to return again. The final “Catchy Rhythm” was danced in grand style on Friday, 23rd March 2007, bringing to an end a nine-year chapter in the resort’s history. But it couldn’t depart without a final flourish - oh no, not this parade…

Disney’s Once Upon a Dream is HERE!

The very first public performance of Disney’s Once Upon a Dream Parade is complete! The parade “soft-premiered” this afternoon at 16:00 in Disneyland Park under cloudy skies and rain, but reports confirm all floats were included, despite concerns about their completion. The parade will be performed in rehearsal previews all this week before officially premiering on 31st March 2007.

More ‘Once Upon a Dream’ making-of

Another day brings another peek into the backstage preparations for the anniversary, and another fascinating look at the wonders of Disney’s Once Upon a Dream Parade! This time from a promotion spot on the German Disney Channel, the “making-of” featurette features similar images to a spot seen early last month, though now with a glimpse into the artist workshops designing the epic new spectacle. Expect concepts, maquettes and even more anticipation…

Disney Characters jump aboard the celebration

Walt Disney used to simply say “Get them out there!”. If there’s one advantage Disneyland will forever have over any other theme park, it’s the Disney characters. “They are the greatest asset we have” he said. And apparently, the people behind the 15th Anniversary Celebration agree. We’ve been promised “more Disney characters than ever before” for many months now, but this is Disney - nothing is ever that ordinary…

Once Upon a Dream Parade in concepts

With 35 days, 17 hours and 7 minutes until the first official performance of Disney’s Once Upon a Dream Parade, there are still plenty of secrets and unknowns about this long-awaited new parade. Whilst we’ve seen costumes, peeked at construction and heard some of the music recently, seven of the eight floats have remained blurry silhouettes from a casting advertisement… until now!

Just Like You Dreamed It?

The Euro Disney SCA Annual General Meeting for shareholders isn’t just about financial statistics and uncomfortable questions, oh no - they always manage to put on a good Disney show! In 2004 we had a musical Lion King preview, an outer-space preview for 2005 and a Buzz Lightyear extravaganza for 2006. How could they top all that for 2007, the 15th Anniversary year, then? Will a costume preview and a play of the new song “Just Like We Dreamed It” do?

Backstage Imagination and Wonderland

The official website for the 15th Anniversary of Disneyland Resort Paris is now live, and with it comes a brand new “Behind the Scenes” video! Whilst the video zips through the unique footage and commentary at lightning speed, I’ve managed (after a few attempts!) to capture stills of the most exciting shots, giving some of the most revealing and exciting images of the upcoming events to date… such as the construction of Disney’s Once Upon a Dream Parade!

Turtles, Cars and two fabulous dresses

We’ve seen visuals, we’ve seen concept art - and now, we can see the real thing. Disneyland Resort Paris has prepared some exciting new backstage photos ready to release to the press in the build-up to the launch of the 15th Anniversary Celebration, and they certainly know how to build some anticipation! Get a closer look at a turtle shell, a backstage look at a life-size Luigi and a brilliant glimpse at two dazzling new Princess dresses.

The Nighttime Christmas Parade - with special guests

In Video. La Parade de Noël became La Parade de la Nuit for the final two weeks of Disney’s Christmas Season, thanks to the extended opening hours of Disneyland Park and the shortened hours of daylight. For the very first parade of 2007, the park marked the occasion with two special guests next to Father Christmas - the 2007 ambassadors of Disneyland Resort Paris.
