Disneyland Resort Paris has extended its year-long 15th Anniversary Celebration. Originally launched on 1st April 2007 and due to close on 31st March 2008, the celebration is now confirmed to continue through the entire 2008 season, with travel brochures already pushing the extension.

The VIPs have mingled, the fans have waited, Daniel Powter has performed - there’s only one thing left for guests: an extra-special Candleabration, and an incredible, breathtaking fireworks display. (30/03/2007 - 10:00) As clouds decended and rain began to pour, the cleaners, crew and Cast Members of the resort ploughed ahead with last minute preparations for the huge press event of the following day. Final repaints, frenzied cleaning and final touches to the anniversary attractions…

The 15th Anniversary Celebration party has begun already for the resort’s Cast Members, with a special rendez-vous gathering bringing the confirmation of countless elements of the festivities. The candle ceremony, character parade, new name badges, a dedicated website, more Kids Free and a preview of the new parade theme song were amongst the early gifts.

The second article in Le Parisien’s backstage look at preparations for the 15th Anniversary once again reveals more new details about the upcoming celebration. This time focusing on the castle decorations, it introduces Daniel Delcourt, head of the project, and features one stand-out detail - that the statues won’t be full-colour, but rather: gold.

Poor old Pooh Bear - cast into the darkness of the indoor Fantasy Festival Stage this past Summer, and now replaced by Pinocchio for the 15th Anniversary Celebration Castle makeover! New visuals have just been released showing Winnie the Pooh’s replacement by a Pinocchio and Figaro figure on the castle’s third spire, as well as new, more stylised candles for all the characters.

We’re proud to present the second official “key visual” for the upcoming 15th Anniversary Celebration. This visual is practically identical to the earlier, daytime version first seen a couple of days ago, except this time the sun has set and the castle is illuminated with its decorative character makeover.
