Disney Magic drops anchor in Barcelona

ImageImagine a part of the Disney empire, a huge piece of Disney Magic, arriving in your home city. That’d be quite an event, right? Well, Spanish Disney fans at long last had all their dreams come true recently when Disney Magic finally arrived on their shores. No, not the Disneyland resort that never was, but one of the two ships of the Disney Cruise Line! A reader from Barcelona has been kind enough to share some photos.

Toon Studio: Radiator Springs welcomes travellers (Part 3)

ImagePart 3. Continued from Part 2. It’s the third and final part of our tour through Walt Disney Studios‘ own Radiator Springs at the new Cars Race Rally, and finally we reach the ride itself. Only the Disney Imagineers could turn what most say is “just a tea cups ride” into something which takes three articles to take a brief tour through. Anyway, this is where the real fun begins — ready to join the spinout?

Toon Studio: Radiator Springs welcomes travellers (Part 2)

ImagePart 2. Continued from Part 1. Let’s hit the road again and head back over to Radiator Springs, the cutest little town in Carburetor County! And, as we now step inside the ‘Visitor Center’ of this faux movie set, it looks like the motor vehicle townspeople are quite keen for us to experience the warm welcome of that cute little town. Through information boards, props, and countless ‘in-jokes’, the spirit of Route 66 is all around…

Toon Studio: Radiator Springs welcomes travellers (Part 1)

ImagePart 1. The Photos Magiques team reports “live” from Walt Disney Studios Park that Cars Quatre Roues Rallye has been open for guests this morning, giving everyone at the park a chance to ride the first and only attraction based on Pixar’s hit 2006 film - less than 12 months after it originally premiered! So, there seems no better time for us to continue our Toon Studio photo tour and step into the world of Radiator Springs…

Avant-première(s) for Crush and Cars

Ready to join the rush for Crush? It’s hard to believe after all these months of construction that, in less than one month, Crush’s Coaster will have already welcomed its first turtle shell passengers and Cars Race Rally will have already kicked up more than a few handfuls of desert dust. Phase 2 of the 15th has begun, and the infamous Red Carpet is back…

First half 2007 brings major 10% improvements

Marne-la-Vallée, 27th April 2007Euro Disney SCA, the operating company of Disneyland Resort Paris, announces its First Half 2007 Results for the six months ended 31st March 2007. Increases of 10% are clear in two important areas - revenues increasing to € 513 million and park attendance increasing to 6.1 million, a great start to the 15th year before it had even begun!

Crush in motion, first look at boarding area

Ahh, the wonders of the Disney “showbuilding”! Give an Imagineer four walls and a roof and they can truly do anything - like bring a Sydney fishing pier to Paris, for example. The drawback of a showbuilding? As many times as you ride Flying Carpets, your camera will never be capable of seeing through walls - though luckily, the press can…

We’ve read words, seen concepts and previewed the maps - now the finished reality is in sight. With the 15th launch complete, everything is now focused on one mission - giving this 15-year old resort a real second gate.
