15th Anniversary Celebration
Sunday, 23rd September 2007
The theme of a “red carpet to Disneyland” used throughout all advertising for the 15th Anniversary Celebration extends through the resort’s seasonal celebrations this month, as seen in some rather enchanting new promotional posters for the upcoming Christmas Season, just released by Disneyland Resort Paris.

The Twilight Zone means business, and not simply with its faster-than-gravity drop. For Disneyland Resort Paris, the opening of The Twilight Zone Tower of Terror is their biggest new attraction launch for years, and a great chance for new and bigger business. The aptly-named DLRP Business Solutions are well aware — since last week, already advertising a very special elevator drop…

EXCLUSIVE in English. Before we’ve even had chance to anticipate the spooks and spectacles of Halloween, another giant seasonal celebration comes along and boosts itself “to the power of 15.” Disney’s Christmas Season begins on 10th November 2007, with the release this week of a brand new (not to mention spectacular) decorations visual and an exciting press release — in French. Luckily for you, we’ve translated it…

The official website and advertising materials have now officially launched for the 2007 Halloween season at Disneyland Resort Paris, with the tagline “Halloween to the power of 15″ and a style which suggests the festival may return more to its Frontierland roots following several slightly confused years. The launch also includes the new festival logo and some photos to advertise the Disney Villains’ Halloween Showtime…

It came out of nowhere in January 2006, but just last month its sequal scored the title of the most watched basic-cable television broadcast in US history with 17.2 million viewers. To call “High School Musical” a phenomenon wouldn’t even come close. And, for Walt Disney Studios Park, the success has provided a blockbuster summer and an extended run for High School Musical On Tour.

“Following the letters, the letters, the letters…” goes the music of Alpha Bet You Are, the 15th Anniversary’s most unique piece of streetmosphere. But don’t follow them for too long, because before you know it you’ll be outside the park, in storage. The daily cavalcade of letters spelling the word “Disneyland” in character-themed costumes officially comes to an end on 30th September 2007.

If you haven’t already heard, Disney-MGM Studios is now officially no more. For only the third time in their history (following EPCOT Center and Euro Disneyland) Disney are renaming an entire park. Ending years of speculation, Walt Disney World have announced the new name — Disney’s Hollywood Studios — and a package of new additions to relaunch the renamed park. But what does this mean for Paris?

So we’re pretty much agreed that people don’t go to Disneyland to look at advertising. But we shouldn’t give movie tie-ins a bad name — some of them can turn out pretty tasty. Pixar’s latest triumph Ratatouille is right now infesting cinemas in France, Belgium, the Netherlands, Spain and Austria, leaving a trail of advertising for Disneyland Resort Paris and a couple of special free screenings for Shareholders and AP Dream holders.

A new press release has just been published confirming the main events for the 2007 Disney’s Halloween Festival. As expected, it’s a Halloween with a twist - the Pumpkinmen, Pink Witches, Stitch and the Disney Villains all return, but they’re going to be vying for attention against the regular 15th events, apparently continuing as normal. So no Maleficent dancing to “Tous en train!” then, sorry.

“Hot Dog!“, Mickey must be exclaiming. The financial results for the Third Quarter 2007 are good, aren’t they? No - they’re really good. For a resort which last year published a revenue increase of 4.5% to now be on track for an 11% increase in 2007 is something of a dream for Euro Disney SCA. So, what’s going on? And what could this boost in business mean for the future of Disneyland Resort Paris?

The good news — and perhaps more importantly, the money — continues to roll in for Euro Disney S.C.A., the operating company of Disneyland Resort Paris, who publish their Third Quarter results today, 26th July 2007. Third Quarter results show a 12% “surge” in sales across the group year-on-year, year-to-date revenues up 11% and impressive attendance increase of 9% for the quarter.

In pictures and video. If you’re a regular reader of our partner websites WDSfans.com or magicforum, you’ll have known all about the “Toon Train” - a new piece of streetmosphere for the Studios. But not Toon Studio, mind. This new Summer event might be more Toon-y than Toon Town itself, but infact it’s Front Lot which receives the extra “lights”, “camera” and “musique” from Chip, Dale and their female friend…

In pictures and video. If there’s one thing Disneyland can do well (when they’ve permission, at least), it’s big fireworks. Unfortunately, guests at the Bastille Day events of 2006 might not have been too sure, watching in confusion as none of the large shells burst into the sky as they should have done. For this 15th Anniversary year, though, luck hasn’t strayed from the side of the resort for one moment…

A special new lounge has been inaugurated by Disneyland Resort Paris as part of its commitment to the ‘Disney Wish Program’, an organisation which helps dreams come true for children with life-threatening illnesses. The Disney Wish Lounge provides a place for these guests to relax at the heart of Disneyland Park, and during the Toon Studio press weekend was inaugurated by Karl Holz and countless guests.
