15th Anniversary Launch

(31/03/2007 - 15:05) Disney’s Once Upon a Dream Parade officially premiered to much fanfare following the official anniversary launch ceremony. But they say there are two sides to every story, and this storybook parade is no different. Whilst the press received a “Once upon a dream” experience, for the rest of the parade route - and for the cast - it was more “Once upon a nightmare”.

(31/03/2007 - 15:00) The 15th Anniversary and Disney’s Once Upon a Dream Parade was launched with a bang, as balloons and confetti filled the air, a marching band jazzed up the rainy day and Mickey invited some very special guests to introduce the “Once upon a dream” of 15 magical years in Paris.

(31/03/2007 - 14:45) A marching band! A special anniversary float! A sea of blue and yellow-dressed volunteers! The pre-parade before the official premiere of Disney’s Once Upon a Dream Parade created a buzz not felt for years, as Disney classics belted out of the live band and hundreds of Disney VoluntEARS waved to the crowds.

(31/03/2007 - 11:00) The official press premiere of Disney Characters’ Express starring Miley Cyrus (Hannah Montana) was met by a line of frenzied camera crews and reporters, whilst being watched over by entertainment vice president François Leroux. Amongst the rush, it was “All Aboard!” and no meet ‘n’ greets for guests…

(31/03/2007 - 10:30) The CD Single of ‘Just Like We Dreamed It’ appears on the shelves of The Storybook Store and Emporium for the first time! Featuring the full song and a full instrumental, the CD also gives more information about the production of the song - and the chance of more 15th Anniversary music releases still to come.

(31/03/2007 - 10:15) Guests were welcomed into Disneyland Park on the 15th Anniversary launch day not only by a stunning new Lumière-themed entrance, but also by a Main Street full of classic hustle and bustle. With the strictly-for-the-cameras red carpet ceremony over, guests were at least free to enjoy some traditional Main Street sights - and sounds - seen and heard only on the rarest of occasions.

(31/03/2007 - 10:00) The photographers, film crews and journalists of the press were awake bright and early on 31st March, ready for a long day of events and premieres as the park turned its attentions away from guests and toward good publicty. First on the agenda - a red carpet welcome and ribbon-cutting ceremony featuring Miley Cyrus, star of Disney Channel’s hit Hannah Montana.

(30/03/2007 - 16:00) Step into Disneyland Park with just one day to go before the Press Event, as we present selected video clips from the final rehearsals for Disney Characters’ Express and Disney’s Once Upon a Dream Parade, plus a glimpse at the first press film crew and some final spit and polish on Main Street just before the rainy parade.

(30/03/2007 - 10:00) As clouds decended and rain began to pour, the cleaners, crew and Cast Members of the resort ploughed ahead with last minute preparations for the huge press event of the following day. Final repaints, frenzied cleaning and final touches to the anniversary attractions…

(29/03/2007 - 20:30) What to do when you arrive at the resort bang on park closing? A spot of Disney shopping! We’ve already seen a selection of new merchandise in the parks, and now the boutiques of the resort join the party with their own selections of both generic and exceptional new merchandise.

(29/03/2007 - 18:00) PanoraMagique, the iconic tethered balloon of Disney Village, is now flying the 15 higher than ever before - up to 100 metres into the air, of course! The giant gas-filled balloon was given an impressive new wrap-around banner last week to display not only four giant “15″ emblems but the new resort logo.

DLRP Today is back! The 15th Anniversary Celebration at Disneyland Resort Paris has begun! The Party is now, the atmosphere is electric, the dreams more beautiful than ever before… and we’re about to share it all, from the final prepations to the grand launch fireworks, to the first night of Extra Magic Hours.

The new Toon Studio attractions at Walt Disney Studios Park continue to develop and gain colour and detail. This week, the first bushy conifer tree for Cars Race Rally was planted next to its iconic wind-sculpted rock, whilst the queue of Crush’s Coaster has now well and truly drowned in palm trees. Oh, and in other news - the opening and soft opening dates have been confirmed!
