Mark Twain glows in multicolour for ‘Celebration Continues’

01-marktwaincolours-00.jpgApril Fool! Don’t worry, the Mark Twain is still true to the Old West period. Preparations for ‘The Celebration Continues… Big Time!’ year are well underway. The big surprise so far — new lights for Mark Twain, following the multicolour theme.

Bougillumination Enchantée and Dreams of Christmas

ImageEXCLUSIVE in English. Before we’ve even had chance to anticipate the spooks and spectacles of Halloween, another giant seasonal celebration comes along and boosts itself “to the power of 15.” Disney’s Christmas Season begins on 10th November 2007, with the release this week of a brand new (not to mention spectacular) decorations visual and an exciting press release — in French. Luckily for you, we’ve translated it…

Castle Makeover up-close and across the park

(1/04/2007 - 11:30) Fifteen candles for fifteen years! With the main anniversary launch events completed and the press faded into the background, guests are free to enjoy the fruits of the 15th Anniversary. Beginning a series of in-depth photo articles covering all of the initial anniversary offerings, we present the Character Castle Makeover - up-close and from across the park.

(Video) A classic Main Street welcome for guests

(31/03/2007 - 10:15) Guests were welcomed into Disneyland Park on the 15th Anniversary launch day not only by a stunning new Lumière-themed entrance, but also by a Main Street full of classic hustle and bustle. With the strictly-for-the-cameras red carpet ceremony over, guests were at least free to enjoy some traditional Main Street sights - and sounds - seen and heard only on the rarest of occasions.

PanoraMagique flies the 15

(29/03/2007 - 18:00) PanoraMagique, the iconic tethered balloon of Disney Village, is now flying the 15 higher than ever before - up to 100 metres into the air, of course! The giant gas-filled balloon was given an impressive new wrap-around banner last week to display not only four giant “15″ emblems but the new resort logo.

Character Castle Makeover - complete!

After months of planning, changes and speculation, it took just over one week to complete the Character Castle Overlay of Le Château de la Belle au Bois Dormant for the 15th Anniversary! All fifteen groups of characters and the giant “15″ centrepiece window are now in place, with a scattering of LED lights throughout.

Castle characters scale the first spires!

Over eight months ago, we first saw visuals that suggested an extra-special centrepiece for the 15th Anniversary. Now, the Character Castle Makeover has begun! Le Château de la Belle au Bois Dormant has been scaled by no less than eight brand new, golden character statues in just two days, though it appears there was a bit of a scuffle on the way up…

15th Fever: Merchandise explosion

The 15th Anniversary fever isn’t just a marketing creation, the buzz can truly be felt right through the entire resort as more and more gold-and-blue signs of the big 15 appear day after day. Step into almost any of the resort’s boutiques right now, and you’ll be hit with perhaps the biggest anniversary merchandise line ever created. Get your AP ready, you’ll be needing that discount…

Disney Characters jump aboard the celebration

Walt Disney used to simply say “Get them out there!”. If there’s one advantage Disneyland will forever have over any other theme park, it’s the Disney characters. “They are the greatest asset we have” he said. And apparently, the people behind the 15th Anniversary Celebration agree. We’ve been promised “more Disney characters than ever before” for many months now, but this is Disney - nothing is ever that ordinary…

Candles, characters, decorations… and letters?

More lovely concept art from the AGM, again courtesy of DCP’s Mouetto, this time focusing both on the stage, candles and characters of Candlabration (Bougillumination) and on the banners due to line Main Street using the Christmas fairytale illuminations. Plus, there’s a new group of ten characters who need to be seen to be believed!
