After opening in 1955, Disneyland soon became famous for its nighttime entertainments and illuminations. But Walt Disney Studios Park, with a limited number of attractions and a bigger, busier park next door, has struggled to even open beyond 6pm until last year. Now, with all the new developments, is it ready to put on a show… at night?

For a Disney park to remain open until nightfall to present a grand evening entertainment, be it a fireworks spectacular like Wishes, a parade like Fantillusion or a pyrotechnic spectacular like Fantasmic, that park needs enough daytime entertainment to make sure the guests are busy enough up until the grand event.
