The video selected by dlrpTV this week is already rather well-known, but, with this being the sixth anniversary week of the park in question, it seems a perfect time to rediscover this fascinating gem…

‘Inside Walt Disney Studios’ is a television documentary produced by The Travel Channel in the US, taking the viewer backstage at Walt Disney Studios Park in its opening year of 2002.

Filmed as part of a series of brilliant theme park documentaries, this edition offers an entirely unique view at some of the park’s now-classic attractions and shows, with Imagineer interviews and rare backstage views — not to mention some surprising reminders of how the park looked long before the expansion programme began.

The documentary starts with Rock ‘n’ Roller Coaster starring Aerosmith, then moves on to the now-defunct CyberSpace Mountain, rehearsals for Moteurs… Action! Stunt Show Spectacular, Art of Disney Animation, Studio Tram Tour: Behind the Magic, a great look at Armageddon: Les Effets Speciaux (it might even make you appreciate the small attraction a little more) and finally, some revealing rehearsals for Animagique.
