With the first appearances of The Twilight Zone Tower of Terror already being spotted on television screens across the UK and France, let’s take a look back at the last time Disneyland Resort Paris — at this point, without the “resort” — took on the task of advertising a major new “E-Ticket” attraction.

Space Mountain: De la Terre à la Lune opened amid much hype on 1st June 1995, backed by a spectacular promotional clip played profusely on television and affixed to every Disney Video.

So widespread was the advertising and publicity gained by the opening of the roller coaster, it is still to this day the “icon” of “Disneyland Paris”, different and unique from every other park. When most people think of London, they think Big Ben. When they think of Disneyland Paris, Tim Delaney’s Space Mountain is there.

This is the full promo clip as seen on Disney Videos, posted by Celli0905 on YouTube:

We’re in a whole new millennium now, and, since opening, the London Eye observation wheel has arguably become the icon of the capital.

So, will the Tower of Terror do the same?
