Disney Characters’ Express exclusive preview!

Via our friends at Photos Magiques, we’re proud to present an exclusive first-look at Disney Characters’ Express - in both photos and video! The new morning parade performed a special twilight avant-première for invited press and travel groups, revealing the huge redesign of the old Casey Jr. float… and the mini-parade’s music. No, it’s not Dancin’!

Toon Town drops in & more

It’s official: Toon Town has arrived in Paris! Perhaps in a different park, perhaps in a different way, but the wacky world of Disney Toons has finally dropped into Walt Disney Studios Park with a team of workers lowering it into place, piece-by-piece. Also today, new updates from across the land: new paint, new flooring and some Agrabah revisions.

Radiator Springs becomes reality

Even more from Pixar’s world of Cars has now made the leap from CGI to reality for Cars Race Rally, as the Radiator Springs queue buildings receive paintwork, tiles and extra decorations as if pulled right out of the movie screen. But that’s not all - preparations are now underway for a second, huge rock formation inspired by the film, and Route 66 itself…

Flying the flag for detail (Part 1)

Disney’s most detailed Magic Kingdom is shining brighter than ever before, as details old and new appear (and reappear) across the park. From Main Street’s returned collection of stars and stripes to the animated three fairies and more - a bumper round-up of all the fresh hidden touches making the park as neat ‘n’ pretty as ever.

Stars & Motor Cars - a second new 15th parade?

We just welcomed the new parade for the 15th Anniversary - so is that it? The way things are going, certainly not. The rumours which took flight way back in January 2006 have suddenly taken another step closer to truth, as time is called once again on the run of Disney Stars & Motor Cars Parade in Florida…

Yo ho, yo ho, anywhere-but-Paris for me!

As of 20th July 2007, Pirates of the Caribbean at Disneyland Resort Paris will become the only version of the attraction in the world to remain faithful to the 1967 original. But for how long? As even Tokyo Disneyland now succumbs to the wit and lure of Captain Jack Sparrow, will Marne-la-Vallée ever follow?

Disney Store loses 15 years

The Disney Store is next in line to have its classic 1990s touches stripped from its white, grey and pastel blue storefront. Whilst Disneyland Park celebrates 15 years and magic and looks as good as ever, Disney Village is still going to drastic measures to remove any hint of its ultra-hip ’90s history.

Grand farewell for the Wonderful World

The Wonderful World Of Disney Parade is no more, never to return again. The final “Catchy Rhythm” was danced in grand style on Friday, 23rd March 2007, bringing to an end a nine-year chapter in the resort’s history. But it couldn’t depart without a final flourish - oh no, not this parade…

Disney’s Once Upon a Dream is HERE!

The very first public performance of Disney’s Once Upon a Dream Parade is complete! The parade “soft-premiered” this afternoon at 16:00 in Disneyland Park under cloudy skies and rain, but reports confirm all floats were included, despite concerns about their completion. The parade will be performed in rehearsal previews all this week before officially premiering on 31st March 2007.

Building the beautiful Big Blue

We’ve been treated to many a peek backstage in recent months, as Disneyland Resort Paris goes all-out to build anticipation about its 15th Anniversary and new attractions, but one of the most anticpated unseen sights has surely been that first glimpse at the coral, colour and craftwork inside the depths of Crush’s Coaster. Hold your breath then, we’re about to dive…

Character Castle Makeover - complete!

After months of planning, changes and speculation, it took just over one week to complete the Character Castle Overlay of Le Château de la Belle au Bois Dormant for the 15th Anniversary! All fifteen groups of characters and the giant “15″ centrepiece window are now in place, with a scattering of LED lights throughout.
