Stayed here in September and had excellent service. Brilliant room with a view from Newport Bay all across the lake to the New York Hotel, with the castle in the distance. Really beautiful. The breakfasts were good, lots of choice and variety.

We had a problem where a couple of the tiles were cracked in the shower and the water was going through and making the floor in the room damp. We called maintenance from the room phone and they came up straight away (11:30pm!) and offered for us to switch rooms but we didn’t really want to so they suggested we shower towards the other side of the cubicle, however when we returned from the parks the next day it had been fixed! Brilliant!!

We had lovely cocktails in the Red Wood Bar, a definite must-do for any adults on holiday there. Such a great atmoshphere. I would class it as higher than a 3 star!

Stayed here for 3 nights 22 -25 sept 09 hotel overall was good. However when we arrived the lift from the entrance to the reception was broken which was a problem as we had a suit case & a pushchair to carry up the stairs. The lift was not fixed during the duration of our stay so this became a pain, you could get a lift but had to walk quite a long way round.

On check in our room was ready & when we got to it, it was huge we didnt have a lake view but this wasnt a problem as we only really slept in it!!! Breakfast was a total bun fight if you didnt go at your allotted time, we went early one day 7.30am and it was much better.

We booked this hotel because it had a swimming pool when we went to use it we found it was closed, I was disappointed we were not told this on arrival. No hot drink making facilities in our room so my husband walked to Starbucks each night for coffee. Hotel has left luggage facility which was excellent and styed open till 10pm, for a fee they would take your luggage to the train station. Over all good.

Just returned from 3 days at this hotel with my 2 children.

The theming of the hotel is excellent and the bar area looks lovely, if a bit expensive (9 -12 euros for a whisky, 6.90 for a pint), you won’t be getting drunk here thats for sure.

The breakfast rush was very civilised and well managed. The reception area was very nice and as my daughter said “it always smells nice”. Check in was well organised and very easy.

The only minus points were the room which was a bit dark and dull, and in need of a spruce up, and the pool was shut for repair.

All in all, it is an excellant hotel and i would certainly stay here again.

Lovely hotel with friendly helpful staff. We booked a Montana room, but was only on the 2nd level and not much of a view, but mind you not there much anyway! The rooms could do with a bit of a redecorate and the loo had a whiff about it, but the beds were warm and comfy.

The breakfast is fantastic, eat all you can buffet, great selection of cold meats, cheese, fruit salads, yoghurts, bread, croissants and pain au chocolat. Don’t forget to stock up and make a few butties to take to the parks so you don’t get ripped off with the food prices! Would stay here again, but request a room with a view over the lake.

The first time I came here was with my parents when we had found a campsite we had booked into not as great as we thought it would be. We soon decided to book into one of the Disney hotels. In the end we booked into the sequoia lodge for our remaining 4 days. The price was reasonable for what you normally pay in Disney, and the staffs were more than helpful and happy to book us in at the last minute.

We were given permission to detach our caravan at the end of the parking lot, giving us the opportunity to leave Disney and take a trip into Paris if we chose to. The rooms were comfortable and basic, with everything we needed, particularly after a long day at the parks.

Breakfast was good, with a good range of foods, e.g cold meats, cheese, pastries, juice, and tea and coffee ect. As most have said, I highly suggest booking to go for breakfast early, between 7-8. It might seem an early rise, but it helps you avoid queues (which there will be plenty of when you enter the park) and, in the summer, make the most of the early magic hours.

My dad and I decided one afternoon to go to the pool before we head out for dinner. To no shock, it was almost empty. The water was cool, maybe slightly chilly to some. The small outdoor pool was nice too, and the Jacuzzi was very warm. This was a nice to enter after being in the cool pool. However, when exiting the Jacuzzi, you have to enter back into the colder water in the main pool, which now feels freezing!

One of my favorite places in the hotel, was the bar. The huge fireplace in the center would have been amazing to see in the winter, however the bar seemed very cosy anyway.

Overall, I found this hotel basic but still good. The theme of the hotel helps you join the atmosphere that surrounds, and you quickly feel like you are part of the goings on around Disney. I have returned to this hotel since that stay and would still go back. Although I can’t wait to try out the Newport Bay Club this year as we leave on our holiday there this Thursday. I hope people have as good a time as I did when I was there :).

Amazing hotel although more suited for autumn/winter stays. Ive been to this hotel twice and have just booked to go there this winter… a useful tip to remember is tht if your room gets a little stuffy, ask reception to lend you a window key to open your window fully

We’ve stayed at this hotel a few times now, and definately one of the better hotels regarding theming. As someone already mentioned, the rooms could do with a little sprucing up, but in all, very clean and serve their purpose well. Also, there is more choice at breakfast than that of the Santa Fe for example, even though it can get rather busy.

Been 11 times, and this is my favourite hotel.
The theme is great, and its just the right distance away
You get a fab of Lake Disney.

However I do feel, that the hotels do need a new coat of paint, and some new carpet.
Come on Disney, put the sparkle back into the hotel rooms!

We stayed at Sequoia Lodge for Christmas last year (08-12-08) for a short stay for the festive period (We normally stay 7-11 days). It was just me and my partner so we paid extra for a Montana Lakeview room. The room was nice and spacious, and very clean. The room consisted of; one double bed, storage cupboard, luggage rack, mini bar, a large bathroom and a TV cabinet. We had a corner room with windows on two walls, very nice but I was hoping for a higher floor and despite paying for a lakeview, we appeared to only have a view of the surrounding trees :( which I was quite disappointed with as it would have been cheaper to stay at New Port Bay Club, a hotel I have always wanted to try, and will in 149 days!!

The theme in this hotel was perfect for Christmas and was decorated for the festive season. Character meet and greets were well organised as was breakfast. The hotel restaurants were good too, the CMs even let us stay to finish our bottle of wine even after it had closed. Check in was fast (max 10 mins! With no queue) and our room was available immediately even though we arrived at 1pm, it’s always worth asking when you arrive ;)

We would defiantly return, especially for Christmas. We even got a white “Christmas” that year as it snowed on our second day :)

Have stayed at Sequoia before and enjoyed a pleasant stay although rooms were tired and a bit drab looking, but always said we would stay again if watching the pennies.

Stayed again on a inpromptu Xmas trip in 2008 and were delighted at having been given a lake view montana room on the 6th floor.

The room was clean, newly refurbished and bigger than the room we had at the HNY. We also had a view of the Castle and could watch candlebration from our room which was wonderful. We also got VIP breakfast passes.
Having such a great room really improved our SL experience and when we are going back this Autumn we are choosing to stay here over the dark smokey rooms we have had at HNY (I have of course requested the same room as before!)

We stayed at Sequoia Lodge 2 times, the first time we stayed at the lodges and in the summer. We didn´t like it that much then. Last time we had a room in the main building and we went during the fall. That was a whole different experience, there was a really nice atmosphere. We sat by the big fireplace in the evening, real warm and cosy.

The rooms are comfortable and clean. We got a room with lakeview, that was extra special. Also it’s just a short walk round the lake to Disney Village and the parks. Breakfast is sometimes crowdy, but the choice of food is quite good.

During the summer time I’d rather stay at Newport Bay Club, but during the fall or winter I would definitely go back toe Sequoia Lodge!

My family stayed in the Sequoia Lodge for 4 nights at the beginning of January. Once we managed to make our way to the hotel we were checked in very quickly.

Our room was very spacious, comfortable and most of all WARM. Quite the upgrade from some of the places we had been staying in prior to our stay at Disneyland. The bathroom was clean and there was plenty of space to dump coats, hats etc. I will admit that we had a terrible view, no lake just a bit of a car park sort of thing.

The hotel was beautifully decorated for Christmas and the absolute perfect choice for the time we were there, I felt completely at home among the ice and snow in the forest. Breakfast was very nice, we went early every day and were seated very quickly.

The Redwood bar was amazing with a huge fireplace, perfect place to sit after a long day in the parks. There was also a lovely heated pool with a slide, spa and a sauna. This was beautifully themed and we came back for a swim after lunch one day while it was quiet. We felt we were in an easy walking distance of the village and parks and only used the bus once (to get to the place when we first arrived!).

Overall we had a wonderful stay and were very impressed with the quality of service. Luxury compared to our squishy little hostel in the middle of Paris!

Myself and my new husband stayed in the sequoia Lodge for 4 nights in late December.

We had had a mad 2 weeks of wedding preparation and party etc. We had booked the Sequoia as we liked the whole park theme a few months in advance. We had little time to think about it again until we were in the airport!

I worried that my husband wouldn’t enjoy the whole Disney experience as hes not the big fan I am. But I needn’t have worried. It was amazing! Every minute. I have never had so much fun, and husband loved it more than me!

All the staff in the sequoia were lovely and helpful. Our room was cosy and comfy. The Redwood bar is beautiful, although we never got a chance to sit beside the fire. I think those people held their seats there all day!

I really cannot rate this hotel high enough in words so suffice to say in 2 weeks we are returning for 6 days! I cannot wait. We went to all the other hotels to have a look, having a coffee or tea as we went- except for the Disneyland Hotel – where we were frisked upon entry!!

And the Sequoia suited us best. The style, atmosphere, theme! I couldn’t get over the value for how near to the parks! Got to chat with the ducks by the lake each morning!

The Breakfast was yum, great selection! and once we cottoned on to early breaki = no queue we were up and at em at 7am! I wasnt too gone on the food in the restaurant in the evenings but then we’d been spoiled by the food in the xmas market! We had no hesitation on picking the Sequoia for our 2nd trip. It ticks all the boxes :)

The chrismas theme really sat well among all the forestry!

    Amazing, amazing, amazing!

We decided to splash out and stay at the Sequoia in an up graded room. Wat a view! Three of our 4 walls were windows giving us an amazing view of Lake Disney and Disney Village. The room was huge and this time had space for a cot and still have a huge amount of space. The hotel is well themed, although it is starting to look a little run down in places. Great character meet and greet and plenty of option for food.

We went in the winter months and it was great to be able to sit in the bar after a day at the park with the huge open fire roaring in the background.

One other little addition which I felt was great was the availability of hot drinks as you left the hotel. If you exited on the lower level by the breakfast hall you were able to pick up a free hot drink to take on the walk to the park.

The hotel has beautiful surroundings and a great atmosphere. Although it was expensive (and what Disney hotel isn’t?) I wouldn’t hesitate at staying there again.

We have just come back from a 4 days/3 nights stay at the SL.
It was our first time there because we had always stopped at the Cheyenne before and to be honest I expected more by the upgrade.

Checking in was quick and smooth – better than Cheyenne but this could had been just because we arrived in a different time. The room clean and cosy – we were on the 4th floor of the main building but the view depressing as we could just see the back car park.

Breakfast was more or less the same of the other Hotel but with the bonus of a CM seating you at a table when you had to find yourself a place to sit in at the Cheyenne. We did not use the pool for a lack of time and never ate at the Restaurants either, it was easy to walk to and back from the Village anyway.

Would stay there again if I had the chance to but I am not so sure it is worth the extra price.
