A great parade to end the day. You can see the floats clearly from most places, and when the lights on Main Street go out it really is magical. I must confess, however, that I preferred the Main Street electrical Parade a couple of years ago. This hits the spot nonetheless.
The most magical of the Disney parades. The atmosphere watching this parade is amazing and it is even better when it is a nice night as when it rains they cut out the show stops as I did once when I saw it in 2006.
Out of all the parades during the summer and winter, this parade is a must see show and it is great for everyone.
Some advice – get a good seat about an hour before the parade if you don’t want to be disappointed especially if you have younger children so they can see the parade in all its glory and magic.
I think this parade is fantastic! So beautiful, magical and breathtaking! You stand watching it, wondering how on earth they managed to do it (Disney). Even when you watch this parade many times you will still feel the magic that it creates! If you are in the parks during the summer season or Christmas season this is a must!
It is so magical, a splendid parade, I love it.
This was the most magical thing ever. I think I had tears in my eyes at some points watching my daughter’s face as it came past.
I was determined to get to Disney in peak season to see this parade and i was not disappointed. It was breathtaking and well worth waiting for 50minutes to ensure a good place in the crowd.
The only negative aspect was people turning up at the last minute and trying to push to the front, which does get rather annoying.
Seeing the Parade with all the lights was a dream come true, and something id imagined since wanting to see a Disney parade as a child.
Beautiful, amazing, and magical !
When Tinkerbell lights up Fantasyland and Main Street (this is even more wonderful at Christmas Season !) along with Mickey, when Maleficent turns into a dragon and make the fire alive, when Aladdin and Jasmine fly over Agrabah and when Goofy and Co. dance and make the night into light, you’ll be able to wait that 40 minutes before Fantillusion begins.
Have dinner at 8:45 PM, and stay in Main Street.
On Summer, Fantillusion is followed by fireworks (for the Summer 2008, it’s followed by the Candlebration, which introduced the Enchanted Fireworks).
On Christmas Season (November-December and Christmas Holiday), the Disney’s Once Upon Parade is followed one hour later ou two hours later (see the Program Guide) which is followed by the Enchanted Candleabration/Enchanted Fairytale Ceremony one hour later, which is followed (gosh, you didn’t even have time for attractions !) by Fantillusion.
Fantillusion really lives up to its name with its fabulous lights and music and characters in their glittering and lit up outfits. The showstops are truly magical aswell with special individual recordings and music for each float/section.
This was very good- all the lights are pretty, but I must say, I do prefer the old Main Street Electrical Parade, with its old music better…
This parade is fabulous and a must see! If you have toddlers, and are staying at the park I would recommend taking a breather or early dinner before going back to the park for the parade as getting out afterwards can take some time if you have reservations to get to. Try to see the parade on Central Plaza or Main Street near the plaza as further along the route towards City Hall the floats can get separated with people leaving the park, as they are allowed to cross the route at intervals which can interrupt the ‘flow’ a little. Fantillusion is a memorable Disney experience and much recommended.
I was a little disappointed in this parade, I found the performers were too tired to dance and were just content on strutting down Main Street as fast as they could to get out of the cold. The lights were great and having something like this to sparkle down Main Street is a great idea, just not in Winter.
We were lucky enough to be at DLRP on a weekend in November 07 and watched Fantillusion twice. I last saw it in 2004 and it hasn’t lost any of it’s WOW factor, a truly fabulous parade – Disney at it’s best !!!
WOW, what a bright fun parade, yes i no its not as advanced as the “once upon dream parade” however it seems much more magical as it is in the dark and the glittering lights make it that bit more breathtaking. I recommend to stand right at the start of main street as thats where
Mickey, Maleficent, and Usular stop. Fantastically done and beautifully synchronized.
Fab! Beautiful floats and a wonderful song, really something to see.
Look out for the flower float with the 3 fairies from Sleeping beauty on, really pretty. Best to get a place down by the castle as the floats stop and some wicked things happen. In the summer it is on late, so be prepared for a long day, or go to the park later in the day and spend some time in you hotel.
A must do if its on, show doesn’t run all year so check times before you go.
One word : WOW.
This parade is truly amazing, god knows how many lights are on those floats!! It is a fabulous parade, it makes you feel all happy inside, ends a wonderful trip to Disney.
