Christmas is always the best time to visit; the parades, the fireworks, the shows, the music and the rides in the dark help it become that extra bit more magical. If I could pick when to visit it would be Christmas every time! Wrap up warm though – temperatures of -6 C are no laughing matter. And when it snows it makes everything just a bit more special!

Love it! The theme, songs, atmosphere, everything. If you don’t are in the mode for Christmas, you certainly will get in the mood there. And just to have a stroll around and look on the décor to see how beautiful everything is.

    What can I say?

I´ve been there in new year´s eve and in January (the first week) and I loved it!!
It´s very cold, but who cares when you´re at Disneyland!!

The Shows, the Parades, the Partys… everything was perfect and I´m sure I´ll come back again in this season!

I really love Christmas season. I think it’s really the best time of year, it’s so magic!
The fake snow on main street, belle’s christmas village and the christmas parade are probably the best entertainment in the whole park.
This season is wonderful and expecially on 31th december night *.*
But the most enchanting thing in the park is the castle all white sparkling and dazzling.

This is our second visit for the Christmas Season. We had rain for the majority of the week, got very wet, very cold, but did it dampen our spirits? NO!! Not one bit. It was just as magical this time as two years ago when we had beautiful clear skies and frosty nights and mornings.

We went a week later (30th November – 4th December) and the difference in the crowds and queues was a bit of a shock, will definately go earlier again next time. The parade was the best we’ve seen, the floats were beautiful, the scents lovely, the timing of the music seemed a bit out, didn’t always seem to match the float we were looking at, but we were impressed. Only complaint was the absence of Santa’s reindeer and we really missed Chant C’est Noel, thought that would have been better than the ‘bits’ that were played. However, the full Chant C’est Noel was played after the enchanted Candleabration, that was a lovely surprise and certainly seemed to go down well with the crowds, got them all clapping and singing. Once again Disney managed to make the Christmas Season spectacular!

Our advise to anybody going at this time of year is take plenty of warm clothes, good waterproof shoes and coats and have plenty of warm drinks, especially when waiting for the parades.

I have been to DLRP several times prior to Christmas. My first advice to anyone, adults and children alike – invest in some thermal underwear!!! No one can see you wearing it and it will certainly help to keep you warm, a must if you want to enjoy Disney at its best!!

I’ve just returned from DLRP and I would also advise taking a flask so you can have hot tea, soup etc and save a little bit of money. We took a kettle but I’ve seem them in the hotels, I’m sure if you ask they will either hire or lend you one.

As mentioned in a review below, I’ve been on New Year’s Eve and it was manic to put it mildly. Although it was a good atmosphere there were just soooooo many people!!

The park certainly knows how to get you in the mood for Christmas, it is truly magical. The shops are full of lovely gifts and the plush (Disney’s name for Cuddly toys – I know as I’m a former Cast Member) is wonderful with all your favourite characters dressed in Christmas outfits.

The lighting up of the castle when its dark will take your breath away – a sight to behold. If you can put up with the cold weather I recommend you try at least one visit during the Christmas Season, you won’t be disappointed! 10/10

I’ve been twice for the Christmas season just love everything about it. Walking out the shops on main street to it snowing is just so magical. I love anything Christmas anyway but disneyland is just a million times more magical and you can experience Christmas like you are a child again. I think everyone should visit in the Christmas season you will love it.

The best season to go. The park is immaculately done up, and is more magical than ever. The fake snow, the decorations and the Christmassy music are just… amazing, you feel like you are a child again.

Arguably Disney’s best season. The snowfall down Main Street makes you feel like you’re in some kind of dream. All of the decorations are also just perfect even in Walt Disney Studios. I have only been to DLRP once during 2005′s christmas season and enjoyed every moment of it especially the ends of the days when everyone gathered to Central Plaza to watch the Enchanted Fairytale Christmas Ceremony.

Our first Disney experience was in the Christmas Season and will live in our hearts as our best stay ever, though we have had some fab summer holidays at the resort too.

Taking our pre schoolers to Disneyland at the most magical time of the year lived up to high expectations and gave us some fabulous memories.

Staying at the start of the Christmas season gives some definite advantages – small queues, less crowds, fantillusion! Just wrap up warm and get out there and soak up the atmosphere. A stay at this time of year gets you in the Christmas mood and leaves you with a festive glow to last well into New Years!

I try and take in the wonder of the Christmas season every other year. It is so magical and really gets me in the Christmas spirit. I walk around Main Street humming and singing along with the Christmas backing music. I enjoy the Christmas parade and the frequent snow showers.

I especially love the way the Chateau is lit up for the Christmas tree lighting ceremony and afterwards. I absolutely love it all and it is so magical.

I took my mother in January 07 for the last day of the Christmas season and she really enjoyed herself. I don’t think she had seen such tall Christmas trees before. Fabulous.

    New Years Eve.
We went to Mickey’s holiday dinner which was great and then headed down to the park. Although the park stayed pen until 1am, the rides stopped at 11pm to get everyone down to Main Street. This meant that those of us (and lets face it we are the majority!) with pushchairs had a mammoth job of moving about. People were swearing at each other, pushing, shoving and generally being nasty.

The fireworks were good, but next time I would head back to the hotel and see the New Year in there. Far less stress and hassle. I can’t emphasise enough just how packed it was.

Have just returned from our first ever disney experience. 18-21st dec, bitterly cold but WOW what an experience. Absolutely magical in every way. The shows, parades, atmosphere. Truly magical.

Yes, take lots of thermals, drinks etc. But also blankets for the Winter wonderland show (fab!). Loved every minute.
