Back a few years agao we found this place by mistake (as it isn’t that well advertised by Disney for some reason) & fell in love with the decor & atmosphere immediatley, we couldn’t believe the level of service provided in this turn of the century themed restaraunt (with what I believe to be the coolest set of drawings showing the different rides ever found). We asked for a window seat & got placed just in time for the main street parade which made the experience even better. The food was fantastic again a little expensive but well worth it. However went back here in December 2008 & found the whole place turned around to the negative, which is a real shame as we are BIG DIsney fans & talk to a lot of people about places we have found to eat etc. The staff were not interested in providing a service at all, our meals took over 30 minutes to get to us & then only to find out that we were served the wrong meals. Also undercooked the meat for our children(I know the french like their meat “rare”). This is a real shame as we had such good memories of eating here before & it seemed to have lost that sparkle that gave it it’s edge. Hence why this only earns 5 out of 10 in our view.
We had the premium meal plan and were recommended to eat here by Denis from the concierge desk at the Hotel New York. The staff were very polite and the service was excellent. This restaurant has several rooms to it so the experience feels much more intimate than in any of the other places within the park.
Food was excellent and plentiful, children found something easily on the menu to satisfy them. Desserts were very good and again we were impressed by both quantity and quality.
A great experience but was edged by the Inventions restaurant in the Disneyland Hotel only by virtue of the fact that this one is table service and not buffet style – if you are a big eater or enjoy more variety then go for inventions. That said this is still one of the best places to eat on the park. 9/10 from us.
Lovely restaurant. Great service and helpful staff. Glad we had the Half Board Menu plus though as probably wouldn’t have been able to afford the a la carte! Waitress was very understanding when daughter didnt like the dessert and swapped it for her. Lovely decoration inside and great atmosphere.
Amazing!! This a high class resautrant over the top!
Last year we decided to go there and check it out ( I must say that it was my wish because I adore the work and live of Walt Disney). My family wasn´t sure about if it is worth to eat there expensive but IT REALLY WAS!!!
The food tastes like heaven and the staff is so nice and careful about the guests.
The most impressing thing about Walt´s is the decoration. Every part of the main park has his own room. And there a lot of pictures of Walt disney himself. It wasn´t nor a waste of time neither a waste of money.
When someone visits Disneyland Paris it´s a MUST to eat there.
Just eaten here for the first time and really enjoyed it, although we were lucky enough to get a window seat during the parade which certainly added to the experience.
The waitress spoke excellent English which certainly helps when you are particularly fussy about the way your steak is cooked. Each plate of food was attractive (quite a few photos were taken) and delicious.
We had 3 courses each, 2 kirs, a bottle of water and a coffee which came to 73 euros – well worth it we thought. Particular highlights were hubby’s steak, bearnaise sauce and mountain of waffle fries and my warm apple crumble with the most divine butterscotch ice cream.
Walt’s will definitely will be a must visit on our next trip to DLP.
The best meal of our stay was at Walt’s. The staff had lost our booking (I had the booking slip), but we got a window table anyway. The dessert deviated substantially from the description – but was actually better.
The decor of this restaurant is amazing, expecially if you get seated near one of the windows. The food however is not so special. In my opinion it is too pricey, one time I got overcooked pasta and another time a really dried out hamburger…That is not what I expect from a gourmet restaurant.
I had lunch here in February, a Tuesday. The décor is amazing, the food’s simple, but excellent. And bonus, you can have a place to watch the parades !
Each part of the restaurant is decorate for one land. In Frontierland room, you can hear “Grin-Grinning Ghosts” with an acoustic piano and a viola ; in Adventureland room, you can see up on the walls artworks of Pirates of the Caribbean, Adventure Isle, and so on. Don’t miss it
You should dine there a few minutes befor Disney’s Fantillusion Parade begin, it’s awesome. And don’t forget to book a reservation !
Just ate there again! Walt’s is – by far – the best restaurant in the park, in all regards, no matter what!
Love it!
Booked a reservation here through City Hall upon arrival at the park. Was given a time to come back, and was able to enjoy my morning at the park with knowledge that I would have a table waiting for me at 12.30 pm. The resturant has 5 rooms all themed on the various lands found in the park. We were seated in the Adventureland room with some great concept art of the Pirates of the Carribean attraction all around us. The menu’s were great with lots of classic pics of Walt Disney himself, but wear and tear was evident here.
Due to not wanting or needing to drink alcohole inside a Disney theme park we opted to have coke instead. As in any resturant inside the park freshly cooked bread rolls were brought out.
Starters was the Ceasar Salad with grilled chicken and was very tasty and enjoyable.
Main course was Walt’s Goumet Burger with curly fries and coleslaw. This was a excelent choice and the burger was massive and topped with everything you need like bacon, cheese and fried egg.
Desert was the Oscar ice cream sundae and amaretto biscuits and it was a great way to cap of what had been an excelent meal.
The service was also very good, and I would certainly eat here again in the future.
This restaurant has great theming throughout, from the waiting lounge downstairs to the various dining areas themed after the different lands in the Magic Kingdom. I can spend ages looking at the decor and fascinating memorabilia on the walls. I have dined in Frontierland and Adventureland so far.
The food is very good and service is excellent. It is also quite small so is good to get away from the crowds and watch the world go by on Main Street. It is also good to watch the Character Express go by as well as looking at the buildings opposite. There are so many little things that you don’t notice from the ground.
What a delight this restaurant is we followed the advice given on this site to book a table at the parade time and enjoy wonderful food and get a birds eye view of the parade. The food was completely yummy I had the scallop starter and main course, hubby had same and girls had walts burgers all of which were devine. The service provided was excellent and we were not hurried along and got to watch the full parade in great comfort sipping our after dinner drinks. Eat here it is fab!
Good food and great theming! If you can get a table at a window you can watch the parade! Great!
My fav in the disneyland park.
The best view, the best food, the best service.
I really love that kind of big hamburger and all the dessert.
Wonderful from the moment you enter the door & climb the stairs, Walt’s is an escape, and yet still totally Disney at the same time. Olde world Victoriana with discreet, yet beautiful disney themeing. This was intended as a treat for the Wife & I, we booked a window seat for 3.45 so that the Parade would occupy the kids – what a great view too. Top Class menu, wife just had Chicken Supreme Main Course (20E), I had 35E menu Scallops & Lemongrass Starter, Fillet Steak with Truffle Sauce main & Oscar Ice cream sundae, the kids menus are ‘proper’ cooked food, but you can request fries, their menu doubles as an activity book, they also get crayons & a surprise – but i won’t spoil that. The service was as you would expect from the premier restaurant in the Park. We were one of the last tables to leave the restaurant so we got a chance to look around the other themed rooms, Fronteirland room is themed as a library with wonderful Wild West paintings, Discoveryland room features a miniature Nautilus above the fireplace, with a great panoramic corner window, Adventureland room features pirate paintings and some tables set within an Arabian tent, Fantasyland room is beautiful featuring classic images & paintings, encased sculptures of Queen of Hearts & Seven Dwarves & lovely gothic woodwork. However, Adventureland & Fantasyland DON’T overlook Main Street – you can’t have it all!! 2 adults, 2 children 90E inc drinks, well worth it – i would return & recomend to anyone. One final note Fraser, our youngest (3) lost his surprise on the teacups, so we called back the next day to try to purchase another, the CM gave us one without question, when she went to fetch it Dominic (7) played around on the foyer piano, no one batted an eyelid! a golden moment.
