We always use the lucky nugget saloon when we go… good value for money totally. Always had a good mixture of Characters never been disappointed yet! The characters do stay around for a good length of time enough for a photo or two and an autograph. There is a good mixture of food and it is really nice.

After visiting DLRP for about 10 times, we finally decided to have dinner here. We used our Half Board plus vouchers. It was excellent value for money. The restuarant opened at 7.30pm and we were the first in the queue.

During dinner Mickey, Pluto and Goofy came round to us. There was also Tigger but never made it to our table. The staff are very friendly and helpful. Good value if you use Half Board plus vouchers. We came off at about 9.00pm. We were on the bar stools too… didn’t mind them. If you had the Character time, it is very good value for money.

This is a great one!! It´s a fantastic buffet where you can find everything you like. Pasta, fish, salads, Doritos, chicken, Fajitas, Chocolate Pies, Crepes… and more!!
It´s fantastic and you also can take pictures with Disney Characters ´cause they´re there during the whole lunch!
I recommend this restaurant, and the next time I go, I´ll eat here!

I had read quite a few good reviews about Lucky Nugget but I had not realized you could not have a *real* table and so I was a bit gutted we had to sit at the lower *balcony* on barstools that I actually found not so comfy.

The food was good but nothing special even if there was a good selection and plates were always refilled.

We didn’t see many characters – and not *main* ones, not Mickey nor Minnie – but they all spent some time with us, except Baloo who just ignored us lol.

With drinks not included it was a pretty expensive meal (155 euros for the 4 of us) but we were not rushed away at all this was good, as it had happened last year in Cafe Mickey.

If you want to see the characters in the Park and have a meal at the same time this is the place to go. If you want a peaceful meal it isn’t the place to go. The food is average, but good enough, and you can eat as much as you like.

However you go here for the characters, and they always peform well. They try and come to each and every table and ensrer that they spend quality time with each. There is also usually a good selection of characters on show.

There are a couple of drawbacks though. One being that some people don’t have the patience to wait at their tables for the characters to come to them but insist on going to the characters and basically getting in their way and everyone elses. The second is that there is little room round the tables as they try and cram as many tables in as they can. A few less tables would aid tothe comfort of dinning, especially as you have to move around the room and there is little room to do so.

Overall though it is good value for money, with quality character time guaranteed.

This is a great place for families, that want to get out of the cold/ heat/ rain and enjoy food and entertainment in climated rooms.

I booked the table over the hotline, we arrived half an hour earlier and were seated within 5 minutes. Staff were nice and helpful.

The food is good, nothing special, but there is plenty to choose from: wraps, chicken wings, pizza, pasta, fish, salads, desserts and much more. When we visited ( June 08 ) they refilled constantly the buffet. When you’re seated upstairs food will sadly get very cold, which is a small let down. Drinks are charged extra, which also makes it a bit pricey.

At first we were a little disappointed to be seated upstairs ( if your party is under 4 people- you always will be seated upstairs ! ), but since we were sitting at the railing with direct view of the stage, we had lots of fun with the musical entertainment. The played country and Disney songs to sing and clap along, and people downstairs where able to participate in the show- it really was fun. Also a huge Plus was that all Characters ( during our visit of 1,5 hours it was an unbelievable amount of Characters: Genie from Aladdin, Penguin from Mary Poppins, Cat from Pinocchio, Robin Hood and Friar Tuc, Minnie Mouse, Baloo, Scrooge McDuck, Eeyore ) went upstairs and spend lots of time taking pictures and playing with the children. They came to every single guest and table.

All in all, this is a great place to visit, not for the food, but for the entertainment and the interaction with all the characters without standing in line ( in the heat ). We weren’t rushed to leave and had plenty of time to enjoy our break with cold drinks. If you consider all this, the money here is well spend.

And I definitely will come back again.

Booked for 3pm, but had to wait about 20 minutes to be seated-upstairs, which was a bit of a let down. It was not very convenient to have to go up and down the stairs with food. Only some of the characters came upstairs, but those that did spent some quality time with the children. There was a fantastic view of the room, but it wasn’t very comfortable sitting on the barstools. Quite enjoyed the meal, but won’t be rushing back.

Lunch at the Lucky Nugget Saloon was supposed to be another highlight of the trip. Unfortunately it was another dining experience to be forgotten. The charachters were plentiful. I guess we got our share but a couple of ‘pushy mums’ ensured that thier children got in at every opportunity instead of waiting for the charachters to come to thier table. Most annoying. The food was average but the best items quickly disappeared with what seemed an excessively long time for them to be replenished. Raeding the reviews I guess it is a bit hit and miss whether you have a good time. The restaurant decor was well themed and supprising large. It is just a shame the rest of the experience was so non-descript.

We had a Character lunch here in September 2007 and we didn’t liked it. Although we had a reservation we needed to wait about 20 minutes to get seated. Inside it was very busy and bad organised. Everytime we went to the buffet nothing was left and it lasted ages to get filled again.

Lot of Characters came not to our table only Mickey and a Country Bear. The other Characters ( who didn’t came to us) were Baloo, Chip’n'Dale and Daisy. The food was announced as Tex Mex but it was not. Everything looked disgusting and tasted awful and spiceless. We were very disappointed.

Returned to the Lucky Nugget again in November 2007, prebooked and arrived to find the restaurant extremely busy with a queue of people waiting, presumably those who hadn’t booked, as we were seated straight away. As a buffet meal this one can’t be faulted, fabulous selection, constantly replenished in a beautiful setting. A favourite for my older children anyway but for my niece, 5 the character interaction was superb. Everyone enjoyed their meals and I highly recommend the Phantom Manor Cocktail.

Unfortunately I can’t rate this restaurant again, see previous review which is a great pity as it deserves a much better rank than 6.9 :(

I went here for lunch last week and it was great, the place was really quiet and we had loads of characters come out and my daughter had really good character interaction. The food was nice aswell and i found the staff really friendly. I will be going here for lunch again :)

This is our children’s favourite restaurant. It’s an all you can eat buffet. We’ve been 6-7 times. On one occasion the food was a little tepid, otherwise its been consistently good. You’re not rushed, the service and character interaction is good, the decor is beautifully themed, and you should have a band on stage as well. The one time that they didn’t have a band (the same occasion that the food was below standard), it just wasn’t the same. Apparently they used to have can can dancers… bring them back!!!

We booked in advance and having read reviews arrived 15 min early. Had a seat by the stage, a band playing christmas music, and 6 characters came out! Food was great as could give the children a non chips meal! no rush to eat, very relaxed. So we went back 2 days later, even better food and 9 characters came! Our children loved it! Great chrismassy atmosphere.

Really recommend if like us you have very little children, as around the park they got pushed aside a little at the meet and greets.

Three Little Girls – Hungry – YES, this was excellent!

We prebooked and arrived close to midday, we were given a choice of seating close to the stage (live music), and close to the EXTENSIVE BUFFET. Almost spoilt for choice (almost), the food was superb from start to finish.

Within minutes of sitting, Mickey AND Minnie came to the table, cuddled the children, and spent plenty of time with them. As they moved on to other children, character after character ‘appeared’ and always spent plenty of time ensuring the little ones enjoyed the real magic of Disney.

My little three year old just threw her arms around Pluto, Goofy, Mickey . . . etc. etc., and hugged, and hugged, and hugged – well you get the idea!

    Will definitely do it again.

TIP: Prebook, and ask for discount with Disney Half Board ticket – get there as close to opening as possible (midday), and you won’t regret it.
