The menu is a little poor but the food is good and the theming is great. Expensive in my opinion but it’s worth it to see the restaurant.

Indeed Parkside Diner has turned into an all-you-can-eat buffet. As we were staying in Hotel New York we chose to eat there, but we were very disappointed!

We are regulars at Walt’s and Blue Lagoon and from Parkside Diner – being one of the two restaurants of Hotel New York – I expected nothing less! Sadly it did not even come close.

The selection was very poor, the quality mediocre and the service almost non-existent (we finally got our beverages when the food was finished, after requesting them twice. The bottle of water came without glasses and the bottle was still sealed).

The food selection does not even come close to the other buffet restaurants we were at (Agrabah Cafe and Billy Bob), the quality of most of the main courses was nothing more than mediocre (the beef was dry as a shoe sole, the pasta out-of-the-box).

The deserts were good, I have to admit that, but for the price of almost 100 Euros for two adults and two kids I expect much more. I just wished I would have spent that money to eat at Walt’s again.

In addition to all that, I had the feeling they were very much aware of their problems, as they did not even bother to ask if everything was ok when handing over the bill.

My recommendation: for the same amount of money you get awesome quality and the finest and friendliest of service in Walt’s. Or, if you want a buffet, go to the Agrabah Cafe, beatiful location, you pay much less and the selection is just incredible!!

I love the Hotel New York, but the Parkside Diner is breakfast only for us from now on.

Parkside diner now has a buffet in the evenings. However it is well stocked with great dishes – I do love the bolognese with Mickey Mouse pasta shapes! Their creme brulee is also excellent.

I have visited this restaurant twice now due to the Manhattan Restaurant being shut for private functions. The service has been excellent and they were wonderful when handling my mother’s allergy issues. Some of the other restaurants were not helpful at all but this one was five star.

This restaurant is fab! It’s like you are really in 1950′s New York. The food is good value and nice!
