We have been eating here for the last 2 years & find the food fantastic, yes, it is a little expensive (especially if have a large family) however with the meal plans it almost turns into a bargain. Character interaction is fantastic as they come to your table & spend time with you for autographs & photos. This is by far our favorite place to eat whilst here & can’t wait until 14th December 2009 until we go again & spend 2 fun filled evenings eating here again. The only minor critism is I personally have not found the waiting staff to be that fantastic, though this shouldn’t put you off eating here.
We paid for the premium meal plan and this restaurant was our favourite. The food on offer was fantastic and our children found something to satisfy them every night.
The buffet was out of this world with a great selection of seafood, hot and cold meats, salads along with pasta dishes and several hot dishes: spaghetti, pasta, lasagne etc.
The sweet selection was also amazing and you can help yourself to as much as you can eat!
The best part about Inventions is the characters – we had non-stop appearances at our table from all of the most popular Disney characters – Minnie, Tigger, Pinnochio, Geppetto and those naughty Chipmunks who did tray surfing down a short flight of stairs! Truly magic moments.
This was all topped off with excellent service – if you aye considering the premium board offer then do it and book in here every night of you stay!
The buffet here was delicious, and we received good, personal service from our server – he even did a Donald Duck voice! Characer interaction was good, but pretty much the same as CafĂ© Mickey. The price is very steep, though, so I’m not sure that we’d go back.
Nice location, wonderful service, nice character interaction – but the quality of the food was just poor compared to the price you gotta pay.
The prawns were much too mealy, the meat absolutely dry and tasted like a sole. The salad variety nothing more but the standard you get in every other buffet restaurant around the resort. They even served packed ice-cream cones for dessert – which I find to be very unreasonable for a restaurant like this.
I was totally disappointed since I expected something real overwhelming after what I heard and read from other people. The best part of the food were the kid’s selections, and I’m everything but a picky eater.
I don’t think that I’ll return there – and I’m sorry, but I can not really recommend this restaurant.
This is SUCH a brilliant restaurant, the service was amazing, the characters were lovely :) Overall i certainly recommend this to anyone willing to pay that little extra but for great service 10 stars!
Paid for a character dinner on 13th March 08, is 46euro per adult but is well worth it!! The spread is amazing; possibly one of the best I’ve seen. Large selection of seafood (even a shrimp tower and they are GORGEOUS!!), a large selection of different main course from steak, chicken, veal, venicean, rice, grannys potatoes, mash which was lovely, pizza, smiley face potatoes for the kids.
For dessert there was a large selection of cheesecakes, marshmallows with a chocolate fountain!!, ice cream, ice lollies, sweets. We stayed for around 2 and 1/2 hours…we seemed to be the people who stayed there the longest – lol!! We met Mickey, Minnie, Pluto, Chip n Dale, and the mice from Cinderella.
Would definately recommend this character dinner to anyone; I enjoyed it most because the kids has to wait for the characters to come to your table meaning there wasn’t a rush for the characters and everyone got some lovely photos and time spent with all the characters! While we were there, it was 3 childrens birthday; this was lovely because there was music playing and everyone joined in clapping and singing while the CM brought out the cake and the character went and danced with the child.
Absolutely the best buffet in the whole Dlrp.
Food fantastic, very good service, characters are very funny.
Love it.
Absolutely brilliant! Food was fantastic. Service was excellent. Character intervention was amazing. We had eaten at Cafe Mickey and had other children come to the table even though CM’s had told them characters would come to the table. Kids did the same here, but when the CM’s asked the children to sit down, they did!
We are doing our chidlrens birthday here next year
This is an excellent but very expensive buffet located in the Disneyland Hotel. The food was very tasty, and it was freshly produced with plenty available. Try and save some space for the wonderful dessert tray! Well worth eating here if you fancy a splurge.
