Ice cream, crepes, waffles… it’s all great. Fantasia Gelati has a great view of It’s a Small World and, depending on how crowded the park is, a great view of the parade route.

The ice cream is different from the ice cream serve in Main Street, but personally I prefer Fantasia’s ice cream. Why is it different? Most (if not all) of the ice cream in Fantasia Gelatia is sorbet (which of course is great if you can’t tolerate milk or just prefer sorbet ice cream) and I personally think the flavor is more intense. You can get ice cream like mandarine, strawberry or lemon, and it actually tastes like the fruit it’s supposed to represent. The waffles and crepes at Fantasia are pretty much the same as in the rest of the park -which is still good- though here you can of course order them with ice cream on top. (or with whipped cream and/or chocolate sauce)

It’s drawbacks? The opening times can be pretty random, so you might stop by after dinner to get a nice dessert, only to find the Fantasia Gelati closed. Even if it was open at that time the day before. Also, sometimes it looks like it’s open, only to find out while standing at the register that there is no one to serve you. That and the service can be quite slow. But the drawbacks are as random as it’s opening times; sometimes it comes all at once, and other times it’s pretty perfect service.

A helpful tip? If you are with two people who want ice cream and don’t mind eating from the same cup, it can pay off to order one cup with two scoops and just share instead of two seperate cups with each one scoop. Though the ice cream is good, it sure isn’t cheap and this simple sharing can save you about 2 euros.

So the conclusion? When it’s open, it’s worth stopping by. Once you’ve tried it, it might just become one of your favorite pit stops in the park.

Lots of selection of delicious ice-cream.

Kids loved it, almost as big as them. lol

Oh, and remember some wet wipes to clean up the kids afterwards.

A good restaurant near from It’s A Small World and the Bella Notte Restaurant, with a terrasse. Ice creams from this restaurant are delicious and yummy.

Plus, you can see the parades if you sit outdoors (look on the map for the parade route).
