When we visted, it was very quite here. The park itslef was quite busy, but not many people had discovered this place, and it was a hidden gem.
The seating area is very interesting, with loads of props to look at on the walls and roof. Theres also a replica of the White Witches throne from the Narnia Films nearby which makes a great Photo Op.
Straightforward counter service restaurant serving a selection of hot and cold food, mainly baguettes and croque monsieur.
The place is vast so you can usually find a seat, and the decor is OK. Fine if you want a quick bite but if you want a nice lunch it might be worth leaving the Studios and checking out the Disney Village restaurants, which are quieter at lunch time.
My family went to eat here when we were at Walt Disney Studios, as we happened to be back where it is, and we were all getting hungry. Got some mickey pizzas and other food. Not horribly expensive. And the food was pretty good. Although, maybe it tasted good just because we were so hungry. Also, looking around at the props was cool.
I had coffee and sweets at the backlot express. It was ok but personally i found that there was a strange smell in there and the tables outside were quiet messy.
Ate here on our last day (14th March 08), I had mickey pizza which is basically just a cheese pizza 3euro90, was lovely. However my friend had a grilled vegetable bap and when started eating it found it was frozen, when she went to complain the woman said it was meant to be cold (yes we knew that but not frozen), the woman then snatched the bap from my friend, put it in the microwave, laughed and shoved it back at my friend – we were apauled at the behaviour of the staff in here!!
We were pleased when a spanish couple beside us also found their’s was frozen and they too complained however the same treatment was given to them. Would not recommend this to anyone!! Perhaps walk in to look at the props but beware about the food.
