We have eaten here on many occations and it has fast become my Boyfriends favourite restaurant in the resort! I can’t find fault with it either! You can’t beat the theming in this hotel and makes a meal here very enjoyable.
Alll you can eat buffet with one soft drink (very small soft drink!) for 22 euros, or Half Board voucher (which I highly recommend). It is fantastic value for money and great food, they offer just about everything BBQ Ribs, Chicken wings, Baked Potatos, Pasta and sauce, Chicken Nuggets, Pizza, Gammon steak, fresh veg and mash, as well as a salad bar and a great selection of desserts; mousses, toffee doughnuts, cakes and pastries, cheese board and fresh fuit.
We normally eat around 9 10ish to avoid families and food fights, but beware as forks go rather quick!!
The food at the all-you-can-eat evening meal is great. It costs 22 euro inc.drink. I’ve been to the buffet at Sequoia Lodge (you probably know already that is the next hotel up from Cheyenne) and this beats it hands down.
It is set out like shop fronts and you get lovely proper chips, pizza, sausage, potatoes, chicken portions that are like 1/2chicken, fresh cooked ham that melts in your mouth, all different types of rice – some with meat and chorizo sausage etc in, I think there might be cooked veg but as I didn’t have any am not sure, theres a big salad bar, a chinese section with noodles and stir fry, I think that if you tried theres no way you could eat even a little bit of everything unless you stayed for hours.
The desserts are even better, the desserts at SL were boiled merangue things and what looked like unwrapped pre-packaged cakes and tarts here everything looks freshly cooked, cakes with layers of cream, flans, cheesecake, choc mousse, fruit desserts, creme caramel in dishes, a large cheese section, all in all it is well worth the money and very tasty. It does get quite busy but there are plenty of tables.
I’d give it 10/10.
The all you can eat buffet is fine, the food is hot and theres lot of different options. Alot of the food is meat based, and didnt see to much in the way of vegetarian options, tho i might be wrong.
It gets insanely busy at peak times, and breakfast (if your staying at the hotel) is abit of a nightmare, as there seems to be kids running around everywhere.
All in all tho, a good place for a reasonable meal at a reasonable price.
Have been here a lot of times over the past 15 years, and the service and food is variable. I now believe they are offering an all you can eat buffett which I can’t comment on, but the food in here is miles better than in Santa Fe, so my best advice is if you want a cheap hotel meal and are staying in Santa Fe – come over the bridge and eat at the Chuck Wagon Cafe!
Also, at peak times the noise is insane as there are so many kids running about (unsurprisingly there are a lot of youngsters staying in this hotel!) so don’t expect a truly relaxing meal.
22 Euros per person all you can eat buffet sounds good, and it is! The food is amazing, sausages, chicken, even Chinese.
Only thing is it fills you up real quick so you don’t really get your moneys worth. But the food you can manage to eat is good good good.
This buffet has a huge variety of food. I think its great but its best to go there to have you dinner late durin 9 -10pm. Any earlier and its very busy. The Breakfast is very busy too.
