Dinner-Food was O.K. We had booked this to celebrate the kids birthdays and to see characters. Got fed up of other kids coming over to our table and getting in the photos. When the cake came out all the characters came around to dance with the kids as the CM’s sang, which was lovely. We wont be dining here again in the evening as it was a bit of a bun fight!
Breakfast-Again very annoying with other kids coming over to our table to see characters even though a CM kept telling them the characters would come round and to go and sit down. The food was delicious though.
Yes the food is good (not fantastic) You cannot however better it for a character meal. We went on two occasions in the last few days. Each time, the service was excellent especially the second time. The waiter couldn’t do enough and he made a real fuss of the kids, making them laugh, bringing them extra gifts, etc
The characters were plentiful – they went round all of the tables and splent plenty of time at each. Was worth going to Disney, just to come here. Yes – the food is 30 euros for an adult but worth double with the service and atmostphere.
We absolutely adore this restaurant! The food, the characters, the staff, and the atmosphere of the place!
If you only do 1 character meal at the park, do it here, we ate here in March, 2006, booked for 6.30pm and didn’t leave until 9.00pm. Meals were superb and the character interaction unbelievable. My son had a birthday cake and the experience was unforgettable, with all the waiters, characters and most of the diners clapping and singing Happy Birthday, plus Mickey, Minnie & the Genie to help blow out the candles – a magical, unforgettable night. It wasn’t cheap but well worth it and I wouldn’t hesitate to go again :)
We also had 2 character breakfasts during our stay, and again the same character interaction with the kids, although with the buffet set up, breakfast time is a little more chaotic – but plenty of choice of food both hot & cold.
I loved the characters coming round the tables and allowed us to take numerous photos and they spent time with adults and children alike. I loved the decor and the video screens. I didn’t particularly like my meal, I had the steak, I like my food well cooked so asked for it to be very well done, it still had pink bits!! Also it had a lot of grissle in it, it wasn’t very hot either. Another guest in my party got his starter and we had all finished our main course before he got his, wasn’t too impressed!! The kids liked their pizza mickey’s so they were happy.
Loved the atmosphere, especially when the music came on to celebrate someone’s birthday, it was fun. Very disappointed about the state of the toilets though, they weren’t very clean. I also thought that they could do with a lick of paint and new taps. The hand towel dispenser (which didn’t work) is behind the door and a least three little girls got their heads banged by others coming in through the door.
I thought the food was over priced and had limited choice. However the entertainment more than made up for it. Ate there for my friends 20th and Eeyore pulled her and myself up an took us to join in with the staff and character dance as they realised it was her birthday. Magical!
I used to love this restaurant. The table service, bowl of sweets at reception, characters wandering about and the best pizza’s I’ve ever had made Café Mickey a must. This time, however, we were really disappointed to discover that due to an insolvable ‘problem with the wood burning oven’, the pizza’s were off the menu.
The remainder of the menu was either steak, salads, pasta (I get bored with pasta all the time because I’m not a huge fan of red meat and there’s only usually chicken or pasta that I can have) or fish. The cuisine is a lot more ‘European’ oriented rather than American style. We avoided this restaurant this time because of the change in menu and hope that it brings back the pizza – it’s the only kind on the resort that isn’t like ‘school dinner’ pizza. The cocktails in here are excellent, as are the puddings. The best tip for this restaurant is to book, book, book! It gets insanely busy, especially between 8-10pm, which is when the characters seem to be there in full force.
Have been here only twice so not a huge amount to go on, but have really enjoyed myself both times. There is an upstairs and a downstairs and very difference atmospheres in both. Downstairs there tends to be more characters (did I mention that there are characters?!) and clips from Disney films – and it tends to be busier downstairs. Upstairs you get a great view of Panoramagique, and you still get characters but there tends to be fewer of them, and no clips of Disney films. The food is good and filling, if a little overpriced, but sometimes it is worth it. I would recommend the Tinkerbell Tart, Pinocchio Pasta and the ice cream is also very good. Only misses out on a 9 or 10 as the last time we went we were quite a while getting served and when my cousin wanted juice and we tried to get the waiter’s attention, it took us about 15 minutes. However, the singing and dancing and Disney atmosphere is a joy to behold!
