Lovely restaurant and excellent service. The food itself was nothing special. There was a good choice on the children’s menu – it was nice to see a good portion of fresh veg included with my daughter’s meal.

The highlight of eating here are the character visits – we were very impressed by the number of characters present, seven in total. They spent plenty of time at our table much to the delight of our two year old.

Dreadful service, slow and inefficient. There were only 6 characters doing the rounds and 2 of them missed our table completely!

Our friends had breakfast the following day (before we had told them about our evening) and said the same. Cafe Mickey must be going through a low patch!

The best thing is that the characters are there and they interact with everyone. We had to wait about 10 minutes (without reservation) and had a table right next to the window. The service was not that good, our waitress forgot the starters and brought them when we had finished. The food wasn’t really good for what we’ve paid. I wouldn’t go back especially not during peak hours.

The highlight of our trip!!! The food was great and the service was quick but the show put on by the characters and the charachter interation was awesome. I don’t know who had the biggest grin, me or the kids!!! This is one not to be missed. We booked early and had no trouble getting a table.

I found this restaurant very expensive for what it is!!

It is great for character meals-but thats it!!!

The meals come out cold and half cooked!!

You have to book sometimes in advance or risk waiting outside for ages!

I would only go there if really necessary-try Rainforest Cafe opposite for the best meal in Disney Village

This is the place for characters and a good meal.

Booking for an evening meal on a Friday or Saturday (and just about any other time) is recommended.

MY first experience of the Cafe Mickey was on a Saturday night. Having booked, we were seated (upstairs) quickly and our waitress left us the menus to select what we wanted to eat while she got our drinkls order.
On this particular ocassion (Feb 2007) there appeared to be more menu choice than there was one year later when we returned but this time for a Friday night.

In 2008, the food was good and plentiful, although I suspect that may be something to do with what you order judging by the other comments, and arrived in good time and still hot. The choice was good however and I had the Pluto steak which was superb.

By a strange coincidence we were seated at the same table as we had sat at one year previously. Although on our visit the number of characters was less than previously we still had Mickey to have a picture with.

You come here for the atmosphere and the appearance of the Disney characters. If you want a quiet meal for two – forget it. Cafe Mickey is normally filled with children and the resulant noise and screams of children over tired and somewhat frustrated mums and dads who are trying to get them to stay still and eat, can be, for an interested outsider whose children are now grown-up, interesting to watch!

    One or two pointers.

There could be more of a vegetarian selection for those who do not eat meat or fish.
Cater forthe picky children who have not mastered knives and forks.
A bit of garnish and salad on some of the dishes would be good.

Great place. Would go again and again.

Returned to Cafe Mickey in November 2007, we hadn’t booked but thought we’d take a chance and at 5.30pm on a Saturday were seated straight away. I don’t know if it was the cocktail or the atmosphere but within 15 minutes of being in here I was feeling completely de-stressed, no mean feat on a Christmas weekend.

I had the pasta dish and was unable to finish it, had to leave some room for the tiramisu, others in the group had steak and lamb, no complaints from the adults or kids, my youngest did ask for vegetables with his fish, which arrived with fries, for some reason he doesn’t like the fries in here but the waitress didn’t understand the problem so we left it – he wasn’t overly bothered and was more interested in visiting the kids dessert area anyway and they came back with some very strange concoctions.

No singing and dancing this time, but plenty of characters who spent lots of time with us and waved when they were on their second round, this restaurant is all about fun and the character interaction, the good food is a bonus and the Cosmopolitan cocktail is to die for. :)

Ate here in January 08. Fantastic value! Had pluto’s steak, was a dream to eat! My son had pluto’s nuggets which was great. Characters were really good with my son as he is only 15 months! He loved it. Well worth spending the money!

This really is the place to be, i had my birthday meal here and even though the food choice was limited the entertainment certainly made up for that. When they brought my cake out all the characters gathered round my table with the CM’s singing and dancing, really enjoyable. overall fantastic, and i’m defiantly bringing my daughter here in September for her early birthday treat.

We ate here twice last year, once for breakfast, then again in the evening. Pre booking definately recommended, gets rammed. Breakfast was quite nice with a selection of hot and colds, all the characters spent loads of time with us for pictures etc.

Evening meal…………… To be honest with you I wouldn’t recommend to anyone. Great interaction again from all the characters and great atmosphere however, when spending 65euro’s (without any alcohol) per couple ,for fish and chips I expected more than a savaloy shaped piece of fish in over cooked batter and a few manky chips that shouldnt have made there way to the deep fat fryer. My dad had Rib eye steak which came as it was , just chips with no peas nor salad garnish. Food quality was diabolical which is a shame as this place had the best atmosphere!

I’ll go back but only for character breakfast.

If you’re going for an evening meal my advice would be prebook your table!

This is the place if you and the kids want photos with the characters without crowds, the characters go to each table and you have plenty of opportunity for photos and autographs. The food however i think is overpriced, but if you want to meet the characters you have to pay for the food.

At peak times booking is advised and would suggest asking if you can you can be seated downstairs (this is where the characters spend most of their time so as to be seen through the large glazed windows to attract in other customers).

Menu is slightly limited but the food in excellent if not slight pricey although I presume this is the price to pay for a character meal. My son loved this restaurant and characters provided many photo opportunities – be ready for surprise birthday party character visits and impromptu dancing (children just disappear from sight towards the music) – definately worth a visit.

We always have a good time here, and as it was my daughters birthday we had ordered the birthday cake.

The food was good, the only problem is if you sit upstairs try not to sit where you can see where they bring the food out as when they start to sing and dance you cant see them.

The best place to have a meal with the characters. They are out in force here, spending as much time as you like at your table. Their ‘minders’ do insist that you wait at your table for the characters to arrive – most do – some obviously don’t which is a shame.

The food is good, with a wide variety on the menu. The dancing and singing by the characters is very good and adds to the occasion. If its Summer and warm you get to sit outside which is excellent and makes for better photographs. The cost, while not cheap, is not expensive and worth every penny – easy to spend 2 hours in there. The staff are very good and make a fuss of the children.

Have been both at lunch time and evening, tend to suggest you get a slightly better time at lunch – seems to very crowded at night? Perhaps just tired by then! Have also been for a character breakfast! – never again, bit like all in wrestling with no rules! The characters should be given danger money.

Great atmosphere-this is great for the little ones to get chances for autographs and photos with characters. Has to be a must do on your visit.

Characters are very attentive as they come round the tables and play with each table separately-and discourage any children wandering round trying to get their attention or following them.

They also do a little singing and dancing and a little routine for birthdays too.

Food and service good-however definately one for the kids if your looking for a meal as a couple or want to hold a conversation over dinner I would reccommend a quieter restaurant. Definately the best place for some character time.
