This well themed thrilling ride is a must for any visit to the Studios. The fun starts in the detailed lobby and library of the Hollywood Tower hotel, with little details to look out for including some nice nods to the Twilight Zone TV show. After passing through a spookily lit boiler room that is bound to freak out any kids who weren’t sure about riding beforehand, it’s on to the main ride itself.

To call Tower of Terror a drop ride is an injustice, there is much more to the experience than just the drops. The special effect set pieces before the plummet are great, highly atmospheric and use state of the art technology. The drops themselves are definitely more fun than scary, providing what can only be described as a “whoooaaaa” feeling in your stomach!

It’s all over very quickly unfortunately (or fortunately for those not enjoying the ride.) The exit and gift shop again some have humorous references to the Twilight Zone TV show and are worth a peek. Everybody who can ride should experience this unique attraction.

I had been extremely excited about the tower of terror, having seen it progress in its construction a year before it opened. First day in the park, I managed to barge through the queue into the first group and once I got onto it, I realised what I had been waiting on… it was amazing. Definitely worth the wait…

I’ve been on the Tower of Terror at the California and Florida parks as well as at Paris. Even though the WDW version in my eyes is the best, the rides at both California and Paris are still amazing in every way.

We did it 3 times a day! The cast members are very good actors, the sensations are thrilling and the ambience is so good thanks to the music and the incredible beauty of the Hollywood Tower itself!

Rode this ride last august. (2008).
I wasn’t going to as I hate heights and I’m scared to death of lifts. We used fastpass for this one, but ended up waiting 1/12 hrs to ride. Wasn’t really worth it in my opinion but the other queue was insane.

I was scared to death. Till I got on the lift. I must admit you get pretty scared but watching the elevator. I felt like I was facing death head on. The ride was sort of okay at first but I wasn’t expecting those sudden drops in the middle of the ride.

That freaked me out well enough to not ride it again… or maybe not. Tower of terror here I come again :)

I visited Disneyland Paris over the new year. My son and I queued for an hour for the Tower of Terror, he does not like lifts and I am scared of heights. I was dreading it.

You go into the lounge of a 1930′s hotel, everything from the massive fireplace to the tea trolly is covered in cobwebs. You are taken through to a room where you watch a video on the twilight zone. After a short queue you enter an elevator, where you sit in rows of four, strapped in with a lap belt. The doors close, the elevator goes backwards then you plummet several times, go back up and plummet again.

At the top the doors open twice to reveal a fantastic view over disney studios. A truly exhilarating experience not to be missed.

My family and I are going back to DLRP this monday and the 1 attraction we all cant wait for is the new Twilight Zone Tower of Terror.

We visited Disneyland 3 times before but this ride was only open the last time which was last February and there was always a big queue so that’s why we have booked a more quiet time to go because we didn’t want to queue up for so long for this greatly themed attraction.

But don’t get me wrong if you do happen to go in a peak season do queue up in the line for this attraction because the wait is so worth it because this elevator ride of your life!!

I have just returned from my 9th visit to DLRP and have been waiting for what seems like ages to try this ride, (it hadn’t yet opened on my last visit) although I must admit I was a little apprehensive.

The theming of the hotel is superb and as mentioned in previous reviews the Cast Members are terrific and really add to the enjoyment of the Tower of Terror. The ride wasn’t as scary as I thought it would be and I have to say I LOVED IT!!!!!!!

You do leave your seat as you drop down, thank goodness for the seat belts!!! Absolutely brilliant, don’t visit the Studios and not try it, you won’t be disappointed.

I’ve never ridden a vertical drop ride before, it’s good to experience something different from a roller coaster (although I love these too).

This is one crazy ride, not for the faint hearted. It is incredible and you feel like you are being lifted out of your seat. The view from the top is incredible, just be prepared to be scared!!

    I love it!!

I am scared of heights and not so confident with elevators either so I thought it would had been an horrible experience to me but it actually was FANTASTIC!!

The only down I can think about is that it just lasts so little, less than one minute ride after you have been queueing for one hour is a very short time!!!

The ride is amazing but one thing makes this stand out from any other attraction on property….the Cast Members.

Practically to a man/woman, they are involved in the theme and experience and to people like David and Alba – I salute you!

Good theming and storyline makes it a very entertaining ride.

Perhaps not as bad as it looks though, and maybe the drop could be just a little bit faster……

On the whole great ride and the best in the Studios.

Tip: Go on it during the Winter, because the studios only closes at 7 so should be dark around then. The park will look good lit up.

Oh My God! Amazing ride! The best ride in the resort (coasters not included).

I also think that people should have two ways: one that goes through french elevators, and another one that goes through english elevators, so people can choose the language.

Anyway, even if you don’t understand French, you get scared. On my second ride, the cast member was amazing! He stopped watching at us, with a funny and scary face, and did not said anything! We all started laughing and then he left the elevator, and returned, seconds later, wishing us a “Bon voyage”, without all the “seat belts checks”.

And that’s true, there are not two equal voyages, all of them are different, which is amazing!

I really love this attraction, probably the best in the whole WDS.
