Just come back from the House of Mouse and went on Star Tours four times (it's a great one to do to keep warm) . I now realise that I was wrong to criticise this ride - it is still a gem, and one that you MUST do before you leave the park. The lightspeed effect is so realistic, and sitting at the back gives a more thrilling ride, but as long as you go in with an open heart and mind this will be an experience you WILL not forget.

The 50 minute queues that occur on this ride prove how popular it still is, but the inspired space port theming (complete with C-3PO and R2-D2) means that waiting is enjoyable! Once your ride is over don't bother with the arcade at the exit - believe me when I say you won't be missing anyway.

I love this ride!

It's not as thrilling as some of the others, but I felt the way it makes you feel like you are going all over the place is amazing!

I couldn't go to Disneyland and not go on this, especially as there's never really a wait for it.

Really clever, entertaining ride.

Star Tours is a great ride that captures the magic of the original movies.
It generally has short queues and even if the queue is long, it is still entertaining watching C-3PO and R2-D2 bicker- in French of course. The simulator itself is great, and you really feel like you are flying through a comet, or accelerating to light-speed.

My only problem with Star Tours is this: it is starting to look old. It is 22 years since the first incarnation opened in 1987 (at Disneyland California), and the ride experience has not changed a bit. There are rumours abounding about Star Tours 2, but I hope that if it was ever built in Paris, they would keep Captain Rex and not spoil it with "characters" from the prequels (Jar Jar Binks, Watto, Sebulba to name a few).

Please Disney, upgrade it, but keep the magic. (Oh, and don't put in a podrace sequence.)

I first enjoyed a flight to Endor in 95 at WDW, didn't understand why we needed seatbelts .... but whooops , this was a hard ride, almost fell off my seat !!
Even if it is now an old ride and there is no surprise effect anymore, I still enjoy it a lot, I recently returned to the original Disneyland and started my day with Star Tours, I was alone in my own shuttle :)
I'm still amazed with the acceleration effect ...!

Personally, I am not a big fan of Star Wars, and I love this ride! It's getting a little old now and needs some updating, but it is still worth checking out at least once. Watch out if you get motion sickness though!

An alright ride, I wouldn't say it's worth queueing very long for, though the queue area is actually quite interesting! If you're a star wars fan, then definitely go for it, but as I am not one I think I missed out on the excitement of it.

Both my friend and I came off feeling a bit motion sick so if you do get badly motion sick, I wouldn't risk it. Overall it's a nice ride, just not all that exciting. It's not too jerky or scary so good for any young Star Wars fans.

This ride is great. The preshow a little bit boring and standing for at least five minutes before the doors are open to the ship not the best, maybe an update could work. But after you stepped inside to the space cabin the journey is ready to start!

The ride itself is a movement/flight simulator ride, if you have weak stomach I wouldn't recommend it my Husband always skips it, but if you can bear it try to choose the back row. That's the row where the movements are the most intense.

A modern classic. I wasn't impressed, though, by the CMs not having discovered that someone had vomited in a vehicle I entered, and that a guest had to tell them.

We never miss Star Tours during our visits to Disneyland. We love it, it´s like you´re in the adventure yourself. I am also a big fan of Star Wars, so it´s not a surprise I like this ride.
