If your a star wars fan like me-this is much fun;who wouldn;t want a chance to blow up the death star??? It is a little old and the projection is a little dated, so whilst the movement is fun the screen quality of the view out your “windscreen” is a bit like watching an old video tape in this DVD/Blu-Ray age but hey, that asides this is still funny and for the not so brave amongst you it will feel like the biggest thing you have ever done without really being all that scary.

WARNING: Not for motion sickness sufferers (I know from seeing it knock my parents out of balance for the rest of the day!) and if you haven’t been on it before leave the fastpasses alone as the theming through the waiting area is just brilliant and you miss it all if you bypass it for the fastpass queue.

The simulators aren’t so good, but if you want to experience a Not-So-Scary Big Thrill, and see RD2D and C3PO on the queue area, which is the best queue area of the resort, take a Fastpass ! And… the Star Tours’ Fastpass are now unlimited !

I didn’t like it very much, I loved to see R2D2 and C3PO but the simulator wasn’t so good I think. I was there one hour before park closing and there was nobody except me and my girlfriend, even if at the beginning it was listed: 20 minutes from here…

I love this simulator!

The attention to detail in the queue area is immense. Any true star wars fan will LOVE this ride.

The simulator itself is exciting, but be warned It is very easy to get motion sickness on this ride. I have seen many people have to sit down on the many available seats afterwards looking rather green! Not one for the faint hearted!

The best part would have to be when you travel at “light speed”. It is so realistic!

The queue can build, so fastpass during peak times is recommended!

Very Realistic Simulator!! It even gave me that weird feeling in my stomach at some points. It really felt like we were going fast. When actually we were just watching a screen and being moved around in out seats!!

This is a really enjoyable fun ride. The elderly, children and adults alike can enjoy this ride. The theming is great, and all the robots make it extra special. Really, really good!!

My family did this ride at Disneyland in Florida, so we were looking forward to it. Well, the MEN in our family were; I wasn’t, so much. I was especially wary, as I had heard that the robot on the mission with us only spoke in French. And although he did, the ride was more fun than I remembered! It’s an especially awesome ride for Star Wars fans.

Star Tours is a true 3D simulator ride but now does seem to lack a little something after all of these years.

The atmosphere builds in the queue as you pass along star maps, the Endor passenger shuttle with an R2 unit repairing it (it has obviously been hit by Imperial laser blasts!), C3PO (correctly modelled with a different coloured lower leg) supervising the work and two crew from the Mon Calamari race in their control tower.

As you climb, you enter a robot repair facilitiy with flashing orange light and bits & pieces being conveyed overhead along with a manic repair robot doing his best to cope wth the work. He is a duplicate of the robot that greets you as you enter the ride itself (both are modelled on No. 5, from the film “Short Circuit”). He seem to speak French exclusively so some of the remarks may be lost on non-French speakers. Some background “Star Wars” music would add to ambience of the whole thing!

You enter the ride in orderely rows and sit in your seat and buckle up (make sure that you do as you are going for a terrific ride!!)

The commentary from an attractive attendent describes what you need to do (and includes some species from the films sitting in the shuttle) and then the screen to your front lowers revealing another No. 5 modelled robot, who is to be our pilot – again speaking in French.

Once the ride gets started you enter a chaotic journey through the space port and out into space. Encounters with a comet, a jump to hyperspace, being chased by the Empire and finally a starring role in an attack on the Death Star before we arrive at Endor. WOW!!

The ride is getting a little tired and needs to be updated with some new effects. Some figures dressed as Han Solo, Darth Vader etc would certainly enhance the experience. A new space journey film using up-to-date GCI techniques would rekindle the WOW factor and certainly make the queues worthwhile. As I said earlier some theme music on the way in as well as on the way out would add to the whole experience

Get a Fast Pass if you want to return later.

There is also an electronic games area on the way out.

I still rate this ride highly despite some negative views on it.
Give it a go and you will enjoy it.

Good queuing entertainment. The simulator only really works (as in makes you feel like your really there) if you sit in the first or second row, but still well worth a go.

Queues never too bad for this one, most i’ve waited about 20 minutes.

Whilst in line for this ride we meet C3PO and R2D2 who entertain you before boarding for your journey to Endor. Sadly the robot pilot commentary is French which detracts a little from the atmosphere. Your journey through outer space on board the simulator is a little rough at times which won’t appeal to the very young and it is also quite noisy, that said it never fails to please me!

This is a very clever simulator and great if you like that sort of thing, but I have to admit it left me feeling dreadful. I felt very sick and dizzy afterwards. If you get travel sick, DO NOT do this one. I suppose this is actually a credit to the designer, in that it is very realistic. Over all, a brilliant simulator, but my husband and I will never go on it again.

I don’t care what anybody says about it being a 20 year old ride, it is great. The queue line is the best in the whole resort. The only thing I would say negative about it is the film it can be a little bit jumpy but it’s still a very good ride!

When i was younger i found this very scary, riding it now I’m 14 made me think again about why it was so scary because i didn’t find it thrilling. Its very dated and needs a totally new refurbishment.

My younger son loves it, the eldest hates it, i think i agree it looks 100% from the 80s and if you happen to be in the front sit it is a lot less intense than it should be.
Queues were very long on Sunday but not in the other days so we could do it as many times as we wanted to.
The queueing line anyway is enjoyable and makes the waiting not so boring.

Star Tours, a 20 year old attraction, is looking dated these days. The film used in the motion simulator is grainy, and the actors look fresh from the 80′s. The simulation motions are jerky and not particularly thrilling. The fact that it’s Star Wars does help a little but overall the ride doesn’t impress like it used to 20 years ago. Beware that the narration for the ride is entirely in French. This is one the few rides where it DOES affect the enjoyment of the ride – the pilot’s humurous quips and narration are missed on English speaking guests.

On the plus side, the queue line is brilliant, with full size C3PO and R2D2 animatronics. It’s also a fairly quick loading attraction – the line will keep your attention anyway. The queue line is dotted with “droids” who speak to guests in both English and French. This attraction is popular and can sometimes get long lines – try riding in the morning if possible. I wouldn’t wait longer than 20 minutes.

Star Tours is nowhere near as intense as todays modern thrill rides, and most children should handle it okay. It does contain loud noises and sudden movements so some young children may be frightened. Most kids will enjoy the Star Wars theming.
