Best ride in the park!! Never had to queue and have been on it more times than i can remember! Great for everyone, and theres always something new to spot. I’ve learnt where the camera is for the on ride photo, so try posing everytime! Never quite got the look i want! But hey, theres always next time, and there will be when we head back in august and am sure to go round a good few times on the best ride in the park!!
Best ride ever. Because of DLP’s cavernous queue, it’s the best POTC on earth.
The classic Pirates of the Caribbean. The ride is as cool as ever. Although, if you’ve been on the one in Disneyworld in Florida as my family had, we were surprised by how much darker this one was. Literally, almost completely dark in some areas. Also, the walk INTO the ride was practically pitch black at times. So, watch out for that if some members of your party have any fear of the dark.
Wow, i was blown away with the multitiered layout of the attraction. I hope they never tarnish the attraction by adding Jack Sparrow/Davy Jones like they did at the other parks worldwide.

This is a great ride- don’t miss it! It combines the modern technology of animatronics and lighting with good old plunges down drops. Make sure you ride it!
A Disney classic! always like to ride this several times, and always spot something new. Yo Ho Yo Ho a pirates life for me!
This is my favourite ride, i love it!
The theming is fantastic, just missing Jack Sparrow. Plus a nice warm ride, which in march you very much appreciate.
Adventureland’s best ride. This is a must for any visit and is very atmospheric as you set sail into the land of pirates and adventure. As you pass the diners in the Blue Lagoon restuarant (hopefully enjoying their meals) you enter the humid, water world of pirates. As you are taken up the water hill for your first minor drop you can see and hear the sounds of cannon and muskets.
The tableaus of pirates are great – I always enjoy the two cats floating on wooden crates as they meow pittifully and the now famous dog, with cell keys in its mouth, being coaxed by the inmates of the prison.
Some of the moving items are now looking a little worn (the sword fighting pair are not as impressive as they once were) and the man in the well does not seem to spurt water out of his mouth anymore. BUT the ride is great and the water flume down to the mystical world of the ghostly pirates and the hidden treasure is superb (this is where you get your picture taken!!).
No-one should ever miss this one. Please let us have a working Jack Sparrow and Miss Elizabeth Swan to add something even more special.
The best ride in disneyland! Just missing jack sparrow!
I absolutely adore this ride! The theming is magical and the music whilst in the queue’s is just perfect. I couldn’t find a scratch wrong with this. It is definitely my all time favourite ride!
This is one of my favourite rides in both parks. I have encountered some 15 mins queues but it generally keeps moving well. I think the whole idea is great and very imaginative. I enjoy the three drops – the second is the best. Although I can’t speak fluent French I can tell what is happening just by the visual clues.
A must for any visit – my record is 10 times in one five day stay. I still haven’t worked out where to sit to not get splashed and it will depend on how full the boat is – just be warned.
One of the best rides here.
The queues are fast moving and ive never had to queue more than 5 minutes, in fact in September we were able to walk straight on. Have been on this ride at least once on every day of my trips to disney, as everytime you see something new.
The 2 log flume type plunges are just right to add excitment but still keep the ride suitable for all. Although the 1st time we rode, we were seated on the front row, and not knowing the drops were coming the 1st one actually did scare me a little!
Can be a little warm and very humid in the queueing areas and the ride itself, especially in the summer and possibly the whole experiance is abit spooky for very small children as it is very dark in places.
A must do on any visit to dlrp
One of the top 5 rides!!
Obviously the films have made this more popular with guests, so the queues are longer than they used to be, but don’t fret – the queues go extremely fast and longest i’ve waited was 15 minutes in the summer.
Catchy song (you know it by now) and some of the animatronics look so real. The dips aren’t that big, which is a little disappointing, but still a brilliant ride!
Everytime I go back to Disneyland this ride is the one thing I look forward to the most! I would go on it everyday if I was allowed.
One of my earliest memories is actually going on this ride with my parents on our first trip to Disneyland, we sat at the front and I thought it was brilliant that I’d got splashed! lol. since then i haave always been captivated by pirates of the caribbean, this ride will always hold special memories for me and i love that the Blue Lagoon restaurant is located inside (a great place for a romantic meal!).
I love the fact that in Anahiem they got all the audio-animatronic characters to the park on a back of a pick up truck! so much thought by the imagineers has gone into the making of this ride.
Yo ho, Yo ho, A Pirates Life For Me!
Best ride ever! As there was a group of 12 of us, of all ages, this was one of our favourites! Couldnt see Captain Jack Sparrow though which is a shame because he is in the one in Florida.
