Not sure anymore.

Used to love this ride, especially when it went backwards. However, this year I felt that it wasn't worth finding. It was very short, and although I didn't dislike it, found I could have been spending time doing something else.

There was only a five minute wait though, so I'd suggest it if you've done everything. Otherwise, give it a miss and head to Big Thunder Mountain.

Indiana Jones is what it is, a runaway coaster with a loop (a very tight one at that) but after going on coasters with loops of over 100ft, this tiny loop really pushes the Gs.

We have to remember this is Disney, and they don't want to totally scare the pants off you. A little less comfortable than BTM, however has a loop and for some small peeps, this may be their first loop. Theming is good with the last corner of the queue un-veiling the loop in way that if you blink at the right time you wouldn't know it had a loop. Been many times and queue has never been more than half hour. One to ride for all ages UNLESS you have any back or neck problems, but the warnings are everywhere.

Do ride it, only lasts about a minute, and only the big drop (which can be seen from viewing the ride) and loop are "scary" to some. Another great disney coaster!

I think the ride is great, but there should be more things like special effects and stuff from the Indiana Jones movies. I think that would complete this ride!

This ride offers a short thrill - short but sweet! There's not much Indiana Jones theming apart from the queue music, though the temple looks very authentic. It's a bit bumpy, but nothing as bad as Space Mountain! I'd go in the evening - the queues being shorter then and the atmosphere being more exciting. The queues have never been massive when I've gone, but if they are and you want to ride, I'd get a FastPass, as the queues is nothing special. Not as good as any of the big names like Big Thunder or Tower of Terror, but it hits the spot nonetheless.

Making it go backwards again would make it a more thrilling ride, but it's not bad as it is. 8/10

The whole setup of this ride is unreal! Such a great ride. I agree with the other reviews about it banging your head a little but its fine as long as you don't lean forward. Gets really fast after the first big drop. It's not to be missed!

Such a good ride!
If you look in the far distance, just before that first stomach jumping drop,
you can faintly see the eiffel tower!

My only improvement would be...
MAKE IT BACKWARDS AGAIN!
It was such a better ride then!

A great runaway train coaster, and a good starter for anyone who's a little scared of going upside down but wants to give it a go. It's almost like a slightly faster Big Thunder Mountain that's more suited for thrill-seekers, in my opinion it's not quite as good as it's missing my favourite part (no inside dark sections) and it's over far too quickly but I'm a huge BTM fan so it's hard reputation to live up to for me!

Definitely worth a go, and the overall setup/scenery is very nice. It bumps your head about a little, but nowhere near as much as Space Mountain; don't lean forward, keep your head back on the headrest and you'll fine.

Indiana Jones is a brilliant little roller coaster. The queue line is huge but usually never full and at least is well themed. The ride is rather standard until it hits the loop as this brings so much G Force its amazing.

Tucked away, but well worth it !

Hardly ever a queue, much better now it is going forwards again. It was fun going backwards, but it bashed your head around a lot and on a cold day that means for very painful ears ! Forwards however is great, good views over the park both during the day and at night.

Theming is great and loop really gets your stomach, neck, back ,you name it ! You might even get an 'encore' if it is sufficiently quiet. Give it a try. 9/10

I often refer to this ride as the 'Secret Coaster' because most people never find it. The Indiana Jones ride in Adventureland was originally going to be a land in itself, but due to budget cuts it ended as a stand-alone ride. This means its kind of out-on-a-limb but is well worth to trek to try and find.

To rate all the rollercoasters I will be using the "Five F's" and scoring out of five. The Five F's are...

FEEMING - How well Themed the ride is to its surroundings - the ride "experience"...
FEATURES - How many rollercoaster features the ride has - drops, corkscrews etc...
FAST - Just how mind-bogglingly, earth-shatteringly fast the ride goes...
FEAR - Just how soul-destroyingly, pant-wettingly scary the ride is...
FUN - The over enjoyment of the ride...

-------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

FEEMING (Theming)

Exploring Adventureland and its many rope bridges, caves and marvelous tree house you can very easily miss what it one of the best rides in the park.

Indiana Jones and the Temple of Peril is a traditional rollercoaster hidden the jungles to the north of Adventureland in the top-left corner of the park. From Adventureland its kinda hard to spot - all you can see is the top of a Mayan Pyramid poking out over the tops of the trees.

Once you follow a seemingly path-to-nowhere you find a mass of bamboo constructions and tents which really resemble an archaeological dig site. The area with its dusty jeeps and bazaars (selling snakes, guns and fedora hats) really has that Indiana Jones feel.

The ride itself is a runaway mine-train ride (in a similar vein to Big Thunder Mountain) but is a faster, more adult experience - flying around an old crumbling Mayan Ruin.

To get to the ruin you have to walk through a series of permanent switchbacks - but this means you have to walk past the beautifully crafted scenery. Piles of artefacts, jeeps, tents, all give the feeling you are walking through the set of an Indiana Jones movie - you half expect harrison Ford to walk by any minute.

You climb some old stone steps into the heart of the temple... and await your destiny!

5 out of 5

-----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

FEATURES

The Indiana Jones ride is the only Rollercoaster in Disneyland Resort that is completely outside. It has no tunnels or darkness or special lighting effects - this means the ride is a much more "traditional" experience.

The ride is made up of a series of mine-carts, but as the shoulder harness comes down you know this is going to be much more than Big Thunder Mountain.

The Mayan Ruin itself is a huge and very authenic looking construction and as such the ride climbs its massive heights with sharp corners and dramatic drops.

The main feature of the ride is a very fast and very tight 360 loop. This ride used to be a BACKWARDS rollercoaster but feel safe in the knowledge you can now see the loop coming!

3 out of 5

-------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

FAST

I'm not going to knock Big Thunder Mountain too much - I know I might've been a bit harsh in my review of this fan-favourite - but my main hang-up is that the ride is too slow and tame. Indiana Jones has all the scenery and twisting turns of Big Thunder Mountain but this time WITH SPEED!

The ride is a traditional coaster and as such has that old-fashioned chugga-chugga-chugga as you go around the track. This combined with speed and the loop makes for a much more satisfying experience!

4 out of 5

------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

FEAR AND FUN

As I mentioned, this ride is an outside coaster. That means you are normally riding in the daylight. This also means - much like Big Thunder Mountain - that you can see every twist and turn coming. Knowing when to brace yourself can take away a bit of the fear-factor but I can assure you - YOU WILL GET SCARED!

The peak and drops of this ride are often so tight that you are SURE you are going smash into the stone-work of the temple - the worst case for this is just before the loop, so you actually get a double-scare.

This is not a ride for kids!

The overall theme of the area its uber-authentic and it feels more like a movie set than just a "tagged-on" ride. Just the walk TO the ride is as much of an experience as the ride itself! By finding this lost treasure of a ride you feel like Dr Jones himself.

This ride is also a FastPass attraction but I have never actually had to queue more than 3-5 minutes for this ride - meaning re-rides are a no-brainer!

Discover it, ride it - love it!

Fear - 4 out of 5

Fun - 5 out of 5

----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Total Score 20 out of 25
