Have only eaten here once, in 2006. Lovely place but so overcrowded it was uncomfortable. The service was ok, although we did have to wait ages for our meals due to how busy it was. We had a clumsy waiter who dropped everything he touched, but was very apologetic and very friendly.
The food not brilliant for the price. The portion size of the food left us confused. My daughter who had ribs, had a huge amount, my son who had gammon and mashed potato, had such a small potion even a child wouldn’t have been full! Glad we experienced it but won’t be eating there this year when we go.
I ate here in june 2007 and thought the food and service was great. The lasagne was more than i could eat, and the others had burgers which were huge. We finished by sharing a desert platter, again the food was great. Service couldnt be faulted. The photographer however is very anoying.
Being able to examine the film props etc,is also a very cool extra touch. As we visited in the afternoon, i cant comment on the wait at peak times, but we were seated straight away. Id recommend it.
We visited back in 2000 and enjoyed the memorabilia and decor but hated the food. Slow service coupled with expensive poor quality food. We returned back in 2005 with our daughter who was 3 yrs old and had a discount voucher so thought we would give it another go. Again the food was appalling. Our daughters food had mouldy bread and my wifes food was cold. The servoce was equally poor with the waiter having far too much to do to make us a priority. We got our daughters food for free but that is the least they could have done. Needless to say we didn’t dine here on our last visit. Avoid. Visit for a drink to view to film memorabilia and then leave!!!
Ate here in our first night at Disneyland (11th March 08), were seated very quickly at a table near the balcony…there was lots going on in the restaurant with it being 4 different peoples birthday while we were there. Service was very fast and efficient. I had chicken, broccoli pasta and my friend has chilli shrimp pasta - both were delicious!!
We couldn’t decide on a dessert so ordered the dessert sampler which is a selection of 4 different desserts on the menu for 11euro, was gorgeous and would definitely recommend it to anyone!! All in all a quick, delicious meal for a reasonable price!! The only downside would be that the restaurant was quite packed meaning that we wouldn’t walk round to explore the different clothing and props on the walls.
We went to planet hollywood in October 2005 and again in october 2007. The first visit was ok but it seems standards have slipped since. The service was diabolical and the food worse. Some people have reviewed this restaurant and mentioned large portion sizes well i must have ordered the wrong dish then because the boeff bourgion had 5 pieces of beef and was accompanied by some rather unpalitable packet mash potatoes. Overall not worth the money. Awful.
Went to planet hollywood in april 2007. And the food was great! The portions are rather large so i’m sure you will be full. The desserts are delicious! Would definitely eat here again.
The only bad thing here is the photographer! Who refuses to go away till he can take a picture, then he makes you pose, not let it be natural and expects for you to pay for the pic after your meal! You don’t have to buy it though, don’t pay for something you dont want!
Visited Planet Hollywood in March 2007 and had a very nice if somewhat large meal, if ordering Fajitas - be warned you’re provided with 8 wraps and more than enough food to fill them, back home that would be enough for four of us, my son had a burger the size of a dinner plate and the other son ate from the children’s menu, he had the chicken strips, it tried one and it was delicious made with chicken breast meat. We were too full to to even try to force a dessert in.
The only downside I felt was the photographer, who visits the tables - I don’t like that, although I did buy the photos of the kids. The restaurant was very busy and our waiter was looking after several tables, however I didn’t feel that affected the service at all, drinks and meals arrived within a reasonable time and my kids were too busy taking in the memorabilia and trying to figure out which film(s) they came from to be worried about any wait. I’d definately return here.
Every year, we visit Disneyland Paris and try and go to Planet Hollywood at least once. This year, we ate three nights on the run! The service is excellent, busy but always available. The rooms are fully packed, but this adds to the atmosphere. As a film buff, eating whilst looking at the surrounds enhances the occassion. The adults and childrens meals are excellent, not cheap offerings, and are filling. Useful tips for parents with small children, go into the little known restaurant at the back of the shop downstairs for a table first. This helps you folding your buggy up and carrying it up the main stairs! Also, keep an eye out for discounts, especially from the Marriott stand outside (they don’t ask for names, just offer discount vouchers). Will definately visit here again!
The planet Hollywood of old (Which used to care about the food, presentation and Theme of Cafe) has died a death!!! The food is awful, The theming is old an unimaginative! What more can i say……… BRING BACK THE GOOD OLD DAYS
I have been here about half a dozen times, and have always had a brilliant and relatively inexpensive meal. The main dishes, the ones I have tried, have all been great, although on our first visit several years ago it was not too great - it has really improved. The LA Lasagne is amazing, as are the cocktails, plus as a film lover, the surroundings are great, and watching film clips over your dinner is a treat.
A really nice place to eat, busy during peak times, but before 7pm and after 9pm it is usually only a 10-15 minute wait for a table, if that.
This restaurant is popular with kids and is usually very noisy and very busy. The menu is OK, there is a set price menu as well but this doesn’t include the more popular dishes. The food was certainly edible, but last time we were there, there was a over reliance on deep frying. Service was a little sloppy and occasionally rather rude.
At dinner time, expect to wait for a seat. Try going before the parks close, or go for lunch.
