Been here in September 2006. The restaurant is very nice and the waiters were all friendly and helpful. The background music from Pocahontas fits to the atmosphere. For my taste the restaurant is only a little too dark. The buffet was good, but only a limited choice for vegetarians and non pork eaters. The dessert buffet was great with a big choice.
We are two adults who ate here Nov. 15th 2007 and enjoyed our meal very much. The cost of the meal was 27 Euros per adult and our standard half board vouchers were accepted at a value of 19 Euros each towards our meal. Drinks not included. We thought the restaurant looked very nice and we were sat at an individual table for two. There is a huge buffet with many lovely salads and I feel it is a excellent choice for vegetarians. The mains included vegetarian lasagna, lasagna with meat, roast chicken, short ribs, white fish, salmon, shell fish, sausages, mousaka, beef stew in a red wine sauce to name a few. For the children there was also chicken nuggets, smile face potatoes, pizza and spaghetti with meat sauce. Around the corner from the well stocked dessert table was another we also missed which had assorted cheeses, breads and crackers. I had expected grilled meats on skewers which I had read about and asked our server but he said now the restaurant is a buffet only as that is what people want the most. We can recommend the Hunters Grill for a very enjoyable meal and we will be returning on our next visit!
I’m not a buffet boy. Especially when it’s not busy. The food was all dry and not hot enough.
The atmosphere in Hunter’s Grill is cosy, just like the rest of Sequoia Lodge.
Still, I would not go and eat there again.
I ate here on a night during a stay at the Sequoia Lodge hotel. It was fairly busy and we had previously made our reservation so didn’t have to wait (The queues can get quite scary later on in the evenings, so go early or book) There was a buffet service or there was a ’set’ menu that included the buffet for starters and desserts, eat as much as you like, and then you could choose a main course. These included a lot of meat dishes - we had the half a spitroasted chicken with fries, sausages and coleslaw. It was delicious and cooked really well. Other mains were things like beef, chicken, pork, sausage - but all done in barbeque style ways and had other accompaniments. The buffet was really varied with a lot of fresh seafood, salads, meats, pasta, cheese and bread. The desserts were more or less the same as the other buffet restaurants - pies, mini cakes and sweets. There was a lot of choice.
The atmosphere in here is nice, like the Sequoia always is, and it isn’t too expensive. I would definitely go here again.
Great for your evening meal lot of choice chicken, steak, sausage etc, large salad selection and veg, kids choice of nuggets, pizza, pasta or they can just get any of the other food good selection of desserts also great atmosphere very cosy, it is a set price sort of all you can eat type.
