  1. Stayed at the Santa Fe during the Easter Holiday 2008, this was our first visit to this hotel after staying in all the others (except Davy Crocket), we were pleasantly surprised. We didn’t expect too much, after all it is the cheapest. We were lucky to be in a block that was close to the main facilities and on the first floor, I may have felt differently if we had been in one of the more remote blocks or on a higher floor (no lifts).

There was a long queue for breakfast from 8am but if you were earlier than that it wasn’t too bad, the breakfast was simple, my daughter was disappointed at the lack of apple juice, but apart from that it was fine. We had an ‘all you can eat buffet’ one evening which was excellent value, plenty to choose from.

Over all, we thought it was pretty good, a bit worn looking on the outside, but our room looked as if it may have been decorated quite recently (we did have trouble closing the window though). We are going to stay here again in May 2008, so I hope it doesn’t let us down.

  2. Stayed here March 2008, I had previously stayed here when the hotel 1st opened.

We arrived around 11pm and checked in at reception straight away, the girl was very helpful and spoke good English. She explained to us the check out time, about the magic hours, how to get to our room and the best route and breakfast. As we checked in late there was only a slot for 10am breakfast and as the magic hours meant the park opened at 8am, we wanted one a bit earlier and were told to head down for our chosen time and it should be ok - thankfully this was the case and it wasn’t fully packed.

Our rooms were very spacious and light; we had 2 double beds, a tv where the remote was a little hard to work, wardrobe space, bath~shower and toilet. The shower was brilliant, very powerful and good temperature (even at 6am in the morning!!).

Breakfast was pretty basic; croissant, pan au chocolat, bread rolls, cheese, ceral, fruit salad…but it done the job!! freshly squeezed orange juice was delicious and a wide range of hot drinks.

Every morning from 8am - 11am there are 2 Disney characters in the foyer of the hotel, large queues can form so arrive early to get your space!!

Information point at reception is very useful, though could perhaps do with a few more different leaflets about reception as they all seem to be the same.

From the last time I stayed at santa fe, I feel that it has been run down a bit on the outside; firstly there used to be a car outside reception (this is no longer here - even though advertised in brochures), there was a volcano that errupted outside la cantina (this no longer errupts and just looks like a grey mound), there was a ufo (this is still here however children just seem to climb on it now), there were rivers that ran round the different hotel blocks (the rivers and ponds have now all dried up showing rubbish and bags underneath), there was a massive cactus (this is no where to be found!!)

Is a lovely walk from the hotel to the disneyland park, it was said it was a 20-25minute walk from the hotel but we found it only to be roughly a 10minute walk - and this seemed to get quicker each time we walked.

However I did enjoy my stay in the santa fe and you can’t complain for all you pay…for the amount of time you spend in the hotel anyways it does the job!!

  3. Been to Hotel Santa Fe 4 times, last time was January 2004. The hotel is good for it’s cheap price. If you only need a place to sleep and shower, then this hotel is enough. For a 2 star hotel it has a nice but simple theme. Rooms are comfortable, but some need a refurb. The hotel is mostly crowded and noisy, so is breakfast too. But if you’re going to DLP on a low budget, then this is the place to stay.

  4. I recently stayed here and i liked it, it was cheap and cheerful. You got good character interaction in the morning at Breakfast and found the staff really friend. They could light up the way to your room a bit more on a couple of occasions i got lost. I would stay here again, but will be staying at the Cheyenne for my next trip.

  5. I have only been to disneyland land once but this hotel is really good. We had a brilliant breakfast and it’s very nice to stay in.

  6. Cheap and basic but a little dated. Good if you don’t care where you stay and just want a place to rest your head.

  7. I have stayed here last Chrismas and that was my first visit in one of the Disney’s Hotels. Yes, this is the cheapest hotel, but the room is spacious and the bathroom is large and clean and nice warm (which is important during the winter). This hotel is perfect to sleep well after a busy tiring day in the Parks. The breakfast is pretty same like in the Seqouia Lodge. This hotel is perfect if you don’t want or can’t spent a lot and the Santa Fe also has the Disney Magic.

  8. I have stayed here on 3 occasions and once at the New York. When I stayed at Santa Fe I was really happy with it, though it can be hard to find your block where your room is because it is so big! The rooms are nice, they are bright and clean. La Cantina is very big and ok for the money you are paying.

Having stayed at the New York most recent I took my mother for a walk to the other hotels as she hadn’t been to DLRP before, and I didn’t realise how shabby it is now, it really looks like it needs a good refurbishment!

  9. During my first visit to Disneyland Resort Paris some eight years ago I stayed at the Santa Fe Hotel. At the time I was very pleased with the room, although having now stayed at some of the other hotels I would prefer to revisit them instead of the Santa Fe. The hotel was a little noisy at night and the canteen quite busy and nowhere near as nice as the other hotels restaurants.

Location is not as good but this is reflected in the price, that said the rooms were fine, clean and comfortable. Its a shame it has no swimming pool and I do think this is nice for the children after a day at the parks.
