  1. A fantastic hotel - is my eyes the best in the world.
Slightly victorain it’s beautiful and charming.
    Brilliant service - very friendly
Great resturants - I recommend the Inventions resturant!
Also - if your thinking about staying at the hotel - may I recommend the Castle Club. A bit more pricey but it’s worth it!
You get a much bigger room on the 3rd or 4th floor of the Disney Hotel. The Castle Club also has it’s own private reception and private lift that takes you straight to the park. Also has it’s own private lounge where free drinks are served all day - and everyday around 4-5pm is a free afternoon tea. And also when you upgrade to the castle club you get V.I.P. fastpasses which allows you to use them as fast passes on every fast pass ride again and again!

  2. We were upgraded from the Sequoia Lodge to the Disneyland Hotel in January 2006. The hotel is very nice and beautiful. We had a lovely room in the West wing with a view to the Disney Village and the Walt Disney Studios. The rooms are big and comfortable. The whole hotel is very clean and has a real luxury atmosphere.

Breakfast is amazing. Calm and gently atmosphere and very delicious food to choose. The chocolat waffles for example are wonderful. Characters are strolling through the hotel at several times. All in all the hotel is amazing, but it’s really expensive and sometimes the luxury was a bit too much for me.

  3. Just returned from another wonderful stay at the Disneyland Hotel. We stayed from 6 to 11 January and found the hotel to be as well maintained as ever. A note was left on our pillow each night along with our chocolate coins advising us to have breakfast prior to 9am - we got to breakfast at 8.55 each day and were seated immediately each day in the area overlooking the park! We enjoyed the wonderful buffet without any queuing but did notice as we left restaurant near to 10 that there were large crowds waiting though this moved very fast quicker the the line waiting to have photo with mickey!

We were delighted to find the swimming pool open this year and made use of it each day after the parks closed, others have said they found the pool very small but we found it was a fine size. Inventions was as good as ever with lots of yummy choices to eat and lots of characters buzzing around to the delight of our two girls! All in all a wonderful place to stay and enjoy that Disney magic! NB Christmas decorations were beautiful too.

  4. We stayed here as a treat while we had an annual passport (we got a good discount), but we were disappointed by the service, there was a lot af superficial grandness, but we just didn’t feel it was worth the extra money compared to the other hotels. And the swimming pool was EXTREMELY small.

  5. We stayed here from 25 - 30th Nov 2007. We had originally booked the Santa Fe having previously tried there and the Seqouia but decided to treat ourselves and upgraded on arrival (which was very easy to do.)
It was a lot of extra money (over £1000 - four nights) but worth every penny. Our room was in the back of the west wing, overlooking the studios. The location was perfect, the room wonderful and the service outstanding. The ambience in the hotel is totally different to elsewhere in the resort and my husband and I really felt like we were on holiday and were able to relax (even with a 2 , 3 and 5 year old!)
Breakfast was fab, very quiet, great tables with views over the park and excellent choice of food (inc hot) which is constantly replenished.
Character interaction was great (with a lot less pushing, shoving and queue jumping than previously experienced) and the hotel was not at all busy.
Saving up to go back next year but this time castle club - this is definately the way to do Disney if you like relaxation, comfort and can afford the extra.

  6. In December 2006 we decided to treat ourselves to a stay at the Disneyland Hotel. It was one of the best decisions of that holiday. The reassurance that your not having a long walk back to the hotel (in the cold) after the parks was a massive bonus.

The hotel wasn’t too busy either. At breakfast we were seated within 5 minutes and managed a quick turn around to get into the parks. From our room you could see the tip of Phantom Manor through the cold misty morning. By the afternoon, we could see the tip of Thunder Mountain. Character interaction was good to. One morning we were nearly bulldozed by Stitch as (he / she) raced down the corridor followed by 8 kids. Everyone seemed to be having fun.

Generally all Disney reviews are positive, but here is my negative. The corridor between the cafe area and the left wing of the hotel was freezing in winter. If we had our daughter with us we would have been concerned enough to put a jacket on her. Apart from that it was great.

  7. The location of the Disneyland Hotel is perfect, but it is expensive to stay here. That said the rooms are lovely and it makes you feel very special to stay here. The shops within the hotel are lovely and the restaurants are great. We had cooked breakfast at no extra cost along with visits from various characters!

I was there at Christmas time and the decorations in the hotel were lovely. The downside is that the swimming pool is very small for a prestige hotel. I would stay here again if the price was right! 9/10

  8. We stayed in the castle club room 2328 with a view of the gardens.

You get free tea, coffee and soft drinks any time of the day, so if you get a bit tired you could always have a hot drink. The best bit is the lift straight down to the entrance of the park! It was worth the money.

  9. I love this hotel! It’s absolutely brilliant! I really can’t think of anything to critisize. The rooms are perfect, the meals are beautiful, it’s location is great… The only thing I will say is that it’s very expensive - That’s the only reason why we now stay in the Hotel New York whilst at the Resort.

  10. We stayed here last January 2007 and had a wonderful time!

Evertything from the beautiful spacious room to the friendly attentive staff made our trip wonderful! We stayed in a standard room and did not put in any special requests and were given a beautiful room with plenty of space overlooking the side of the hotel. Having seen lots of mentions for Castle Club I was tempted to try it for this year until I got the price from travel agent 950 euro extra for three nights!

The closeness of this hotel to the park cant be beaten and it really breaks up the day when you can pop back to the hotel mid afternoon for a drink and snack. The restaurants in the hotel are great a bit pricy but so worth it we had dinner in both and could not choose between them - the kids loved Inventons and the adults loved California Grill. The pool was closed last year but will be open this year so looking forward to it.

We have stayed at Sequoia and Newport before and I honestly feel that the Disneyland is far superior - going again in January 2008! Cant wait!!!! Will report on trip!
