  1. We rode this just after it opened back in June 2007. When we heard there was a new Cars ride opening we were so excited. It was completely different to what we expected but it is brilliant. The whole Cars theme is great (One of our favourite films).

The only downside is that I wish they had Lightning McQueen in a better position to take photos. It is on the edge of the ride and you get people getting off the ride at the end and going over and getting their photos taken with Lightning. This wouldn’t happen if they put it in a photographic friendly location.

I also think they missed a big opportunity not opening a store solely selling Cars merchandise. They would have got a few Euros out of me!!!

  2. We rode this twice with our children and the ride is far better in the front than the back of the cars as you really get the near misses as the cars whirl close to each other. Takes your breath away and leaves you wanting another go. A must for preschoolers and a great addition to the Studios Park.

  3. A fantastic ride , fast and furious with great “Cars” themeing. If you love the film go on this ride. Looking at the ride it doesnt appear that good , but get on it and you feel the difference to this opinion. We went on twice.

  4. Very nice ride, it’s very funny how the cars spin during the ride. The themeing is awesome!

  5. A fantastic ride, one of the most ‘fun’ rides in the park. My son and i loved it and he kept wanting to ride again and again! Luckly there wasnt any ques each time we rode. Unfortunatly with very few cars when there is a que it goes very slowly. After reading bad things about it i wasnt expecting to enjoy it that much but it really is brilliant and such a great ride for younger visitors!

Im so sure, (although maybe i was seeing things??) that some of the cars spin faster then the others and from what i could see it wasnt lightening! Its similar to the tea cups ride but you dont control the spinning and you keep thinking your going to bash into the other cars! They dont all just go round on one circle, it does a figure 8 switching from one turntable to the other and thats when you get the feeling your going to collide with someone!

It could do with being a bit longer but with the ques slow already maybe its not such a good idea!

    8/10

  6. You look at it and think it is the tea cups in a car, but its much better. My 7 yr old didn’t want to go on…boring he said, but he enjoyed them and they really do move quickly. Good fun.

  7. Looks sedate but is surprising lively and was enjoyable to both adults and children. Queues can fluctuate and everyone seems to stampede for the red cars (funny that). A good ride although over very quickly.

  8. My children enjoyed this, and that’s what matters.

However, it needs more cars to reduce the long slow queues, and the ride need to be longer than 2 - yes - TWO minutes!

  9. A well themed ride, with lots of attention to detail. The queuing area is especially well done, which it needs to be as it is a slow moving queue. The ride is like the Tea Cups, but better and without the effort! It’s a must do once ride, but not sure if it’s a redo ride if the queues are long which they tend to be.

  10. My partner and me were the only two adults on the queueing line without kids….but i have liked it, it’s a Teacups style ride but better than the Teacups themselves.
As said before a little too short, it lasts very very little.

  11. After hearing quite a few bad reviews of this ride, I wasn’t expecting much from it. But after taking my first ride I was very impressed.

The queue line is great and has lots of nice little details. It moves quite slowly, but when I rode the queue was short anyway.

The ride part is excellent. It doesn’t spin so much that you feel sick, but just enough so that it’s fun. I really liked the near collision moments - The cars must have come within inches of each other and I thought we might scrape them at some points! The music to the ride is a nice detail too, and it adds a great atmosphere to the ride.

I like Cars just as much as it’s neighbour, Crush’s Coaster. I just wish I had ridden it a few more times!

  12. I rode this last week and thought that it was good, if a bit on the short side lol.
I also think that Disney could have done a bit better TBH. I mean, we already have the Tea Cups in DLP, as well as a Carrousel, the Flying Elephanys and the Carpets just across from this ride - did we really need another “spinning” type attraction?
overall I’d give it 6.5 out of 10.

  13. What can i say about this ride? It’s fantastic, the line to ride was fantastic for photo ops ‘Eat at Flo’s and get gas’ etc. Something to see everywhere. Then once on the ride it feels completly different from other rides in this style. At one point you even believe that you are going to collide with the cars on the other turntable.
A fantastic ride, a must do for anyone at DLRP.
