Tips & Advice
- Meet 'n' Greet Father Christmas at the Father Christmas Village gathers long queues of parents and children, so you might want to arrive as the area opens, at 10.30am, or later in day, before it closes at 6pm.
- The village area is open primarily for those joining the queue to meet Santa, and so may be hard to access for those older guests without children (unless you're lucky enough to still get a visit from the man himself).
- Meet 'n' Greets with Woody and Jessie continue throughout the Christmas season in a separate part of the village - check times in the latest Programme or at the village.
Fun Facts
- With Father Christmas' sleigh on Town Square in Main Street, U.S.A. no longer used by the man himself, an imposter has appeared for the 2007 season! No, not Jack Skellington - Goofy Clause!

Deep in the rustic forests of Frontierland, a very special Christmas star is working hard to make the event as magical as possible for children all around the world. Whether naughty or nice, he's spared some time to meet the public and ask the all-important question: "What would you like for Christmas?"
In the far corner of Frontierland, beyond the peaks of Big Thunder Mountain and the indian villages of Pocahontas, you enter into a traditional Winter wonderland of forests and log cabins. Opposite the venue of Mickey's Winter Wonderland, where Donald seeks some peace in the snow-capped mountains, another famous face keeps warm inside...
Father Christmas is here, in person, each and every day of the Christmas Season, ready for meet 'n' greets and photos between 10.30am and 6pm. Seated on a large, red, leather chair beside a wide stone fireplace, his latest works and creations can be seen spread across a huge work table - everything from trains and cranes to building blocks and dolls.
The cosy room, a wooden construction usually part of Woody's Roundup Village, is lit beautifully throughout with elegant yellow spotlights on the chair and wintry blue LEDs glistening around the table. All of the Roundup Village's buildings are covered with garlands and bright winter lights.
History
- The Father Christmas Village is a brand new feature of Disney's Christmas Season for 2007, a more rustic and traditional alternative to the fairytale-inspired Belle's Christmas Village area.
- The village occupies a new building on the former site of Critter Corral, a small animal farm in Frontierland which officially closed in July 2007. It was soon expanded with extra outbuildings and renamed to Woody's Roundup Village - primarily a place to meet the roundup gang, Woody and Jessie. The Christmas décor was all created or found especially for the location, which will now become the only place to meet Father Christmas at the resort for many years to come.
- This is the first time Disneyland Park has created something similar to the traditional "Santa's grotto" for Christmas. In the past, Father Christmas has always met children out in the open on a sleigh nestled amongst the trees and snow on Town Square.
