History

New York Style Sandwiches was originally known as Carnegie's, but the name was changed soon after opening to better describe the theme and menu of the eatery to a multi-language audience.

The restaurant previously had a large neon-lit sign protruding into the Disney Village street, similar to that of the Sports Bar.  With the redesign works of 2005/06 (which included the installation of the balloons), however, both were removed and replaced with simpler 2D signs above the doors of the neighbouring venues.
