The one that started them all, the
classic story by the Grimm Brothers, comes to life in this enchanted ride
which follows Snow White on her journey as she deals with enchanted forests,
mischievous dwarves, and a dastardly plot against her.
Things take a sinister turn when the
Evil Queen arrives - she's even trying to tempt you with a poison apple!
Make it through the twisting, grabbing branches of the dark forest and
happily ever after isn't far away!
Fun Facts
Guests ride in mine cars from the
Dwarfs' diamond mine, each one named after one of the seven dwarfs: Doc,
Grumpy, Happy, Sneezy, Bashful, Sleepy, Dopey.
The Queen's Castle exterior of the attraction, with cold grey stonework and
German Black Forest landscaping, is based almost entirely on the Disneyland
original, down to the Evil Queen herself watching from the large window
above. The attraction name inscribed on the stonework has, however,
been changed from 'Snow White's Scary Adventures'.
The theme of the attraction continues to the boutique next door, La
Chaumière des Sept Nains. The indoor area features the exterior of the
Dwarfs' Cottage, including a selection of animals from the 'Whistle While
You Work' sequence, before you enter the intricately themed cottage and the
boutique itself.
History Alternate versions of
this attraction can also be found at Disneyland (17th July 1955), Magic
Kingdom (1st October 1971) and Tokyo Disneyland (15th April 1983), where it
goes by the name 'Snow White's Scary Adventures'. |

In the original version of Snow White's Scary Adventures, an opening day
attraction at Disneyland on 17th July 1955, guests rode through the
adventure as if they were Snow White themselves, experiencing the adventure
from her perspective. It was not until several decades later that the
key character herself would finally appear during the adventure, putting
rest to this guest feedback. |
