This way, that way, up and over -
Alice's confusing adventures in Wonderland are a maze of quirky characters,
colourful flowers and frightful royalty! Dash through the water jets, around
the curving hedges and through the tricky Queen of Hearts Maze.
Fun Facts
Alice's Curious Labyrinth is
entirely unique to Disneyland Park in Paris, designed from scratch for
opening day in 1992 and without comparison in the entire portfolio of Disney
Parks worldwide. The many hedges of
the labyrinth are of the Thuja coniferous variety, part of the cypress
family. They were grown at a nursey in Northern France before being
moved by over twenty trucks to the park and assembled using a numbering
system for each piece. Whilst the
Labyrinth is nothing more complex than a themed path, the Queen of Hearts
Maze does pose a moderate challenge to guests. In total, it features
around 8 dead-ends.
History The main balcony of the
Queen of Hearts Castle features a small spiral slide for children, leading
into the main hall below. After less than one year
of operation, however, it was closed due to logistical and safety concerns. |
