Zurg is on the loose! Join forces with Buzz Lightyear of Star Command, as you become an honorary Space Ranger and battle to save the toy universe from the threat of invasion, on this wild, interactive mission into the outer sectors of the Gamma Quadrant! Zurg has masterminded an evil army of power-hungry, invading robots, which require the theft of every single power cell in the universe! Should all the power cells be captured, toys everywhere will be left powerless and at the mercy of Zurg's evil plans, sending the universe spiralling into turmoil and sparking a situation so desperate that not even the Universe Protection Unit can handle! Pilot your XP-41 Space Cruiser to infinity and beyond, then get ready to blast away at the battery-guzzling robots of Zurg's evil empire. It's a code-red intergalactic emergency mission - will you be able to save the day and become a Galactic Hero? XP-41 Space CruiserIon Pulse Astro BlasterEach two-person vehicle come equipped with two hand-held laser guns which can be picked up and fired in any direction. When you hit a target, they light up in a variety of colours and vibrate in your hand! Zero Gravity SpinUse the control stick in the middle of your Space Cruiser's dashboard to spin your ride vehicle through a full 360° - now there's definitely nowhere for Zurg to hide! Blast Recognition SoftwareRight the way through your mission, you'll be able to see how you're doing in the epic quest against evil with the electronic score display on the Space Cruiser dashboard. At the end of the ride, you can use this to check your Star Command Rank, before buying a souvenir photo of the successful quest featuring your score. Attraction ExperienceThis revolutionary attraction allows you to fully interact with the ride adventure, as you spin your vehicle through 360° and use your hand-held laser gun to shoot at targets and rack up a score which is displayed on the dashboard of your "Space Cruiser". As you enter the historically futuristic world of Discoveryland, the imposing entrance of Buzz Lightyear Laser Blast stands on your left, with a majestic statue of Buzz Lightyear himself marking this as a Space Ranger-certified outpost of Star Command. Make your way inside the futuristic building with the tense beat of Star Command's drum roll in the background and immediately you're shrunk to the size of a toy. The Star Command Action Centre is in a state of chaos, with toy parts lying all over, instruction booklets forming walls around you. In the next room, however, a familiar face steps in to give you your briefing - Buzz! Follow the Etch-a-Sketch instructions and listen carefully - the fate of the entire toy universe rests in your hands! As sirens sound and you're called up to the Flight Deck, make your way through the colourful passageways, past maps and charts of this retro-futuristic, plastic-coated universe. On the Flight Deck, step onto the moving walkway and into your very own XP-41 Space Cruiser vehicle. As you reach the edge of the Flight Deck and launch into deep space, the front shield of your Space Cruiser locks in place and your Astro Blaster gun is activated. Your first challenge: Robot Attack! An army of over-energized battery-powered robots is advancing towards you, spinning and swirling through the weightlessness of the Gamma Quadrant towards your vehicle. You're on your own now: aim and fire for the "Z" weak-spots and repeat as many times as necessary. If you score a hit, the victim will light-up and crackle, and your blast recognition software will tally up the hits. Need to aim for a trick spot in the corner of the galaxy? Just use the zero gravity spin function and swirl through 360° to blast away with ease as the enemy comes in closer. Wait - watch out! You're headed right for Zurg's ship! The gloomy behemoth looms on the horizon and soon enough you're sucked inside, facing Zurg's Dreadnought. Blast as many targets as possible and you'll be ready to face the Evil Emperor himself. As you round the corner, past buzzing and sparking electronic creatures, Zurg pulls out his Secret Weapon and sends a hailstorm of cosmic force-fields careering into your Space Cruiser. Find his weak-spot and keep firing - Zurg will be repackaged in no time! As your Space Cruiser drifts out of Zurg's ship, leaving him wounded by the laser blasts you left in your trail, you rendez-vous on Planet Z to plan the next steps of your mission. This strange and mysterious green planet is home to all kinds of disturbing alien life forms. Blast their targets and find the bonus points and you'll be charged up and ready to face Zurg in the final showdown. "This is Star Command - do you read? Zurg has escaped!" As you leave the gravity field of Planet Z, you see Zurg's Escape - the menace spiralling up into the sky on his rocket, evading the final battle and leaving you trailing lightyears behind. There's no other option - take a sharp left turn and blast straight into Hyperspace! As a million galaxies flash by at incomprehensible speed, your Space Cruiser pulls out safely and you're head to head with Zurg in The Final Battle. Luckily, Buzz Lightyear has arrived safely on the scene and is dazzling Zurg with his high-powered laser accessory. The Little Green Men swarm around, pulling apart Zurg's makeshift rocket ship and keeping unwanted space creatures away from your Space Cruiser. With a final few shots from your Astro Blaster, the targets light up in unison, electricity buzzing between them and destroying Zurg's sensitive circuits. Before you know it, Repackaging Zurg has begun. As the Little Green Men carefully slot him into his custom-fitted packaging, you can take a final shot to boost your Space Ranger Score. As you land safety back at Star Command, Buzz Lightyear appears on the video screens to welcome you back on-board and congratulate you on a hugely successful mission. Zurg has been captured and the toy universe's battery supply is free once again! As your shield lowers and you step out to a hero's return, check your final score and make a note of your Space Ranger Ranking - from Galactic Hero to Star Cadet, you've made your mark on the toy universe and laser blasted Zurg into the next discount extravaganza at Al's Toy Barn. At the exit of the Star Command Action Centre, you can purchase a quick space shot of yourself in action in the Gamma Quadrant, which also features your score. For every Space Ranger, Toy Story and Discoveryland item under the green-glowing sun of Planet Z, check out Buzz Lightyear's Constellations boutique next door!
