Trivia & Fun Facts

  • Alice's Curious Labyrinth is without comparison in the entire portfolio of Disney Parks worldwide. Never before or since has Disney created anything quite like this!
  • The many hedges of the labyrinth are of the Thuja coniferous variety, part of the cypress family. They were grown at a nursey in Northern France before being moved by over twenty trucks to the park and assembled using a numbering system for each piece.
  • Whilst the Labyrinth is nothing more complex than a themed path, the Queen of Hearts Maze does pose a moderate challenge to guests. In total, it features around 8 "dead-ends".
  • The main balcony of the Queen of Hearts Castle features a small spiral slide for children, leading into the main hall below. After less than one year of operation, however, it was closed due to logistical and safety concerns.
