June 2014 Park Hours and Attraction Closures now available

June 2014 at Disneyland Paris

June 2014 will be an exciting month to be at Disneyland Paris, and if you’re planning an early summer trip you’ll be pleased to know that park opening hours and attraction closures are now available on our Calendar:

If you don’t want to click through each day on the official calendar, our Closures & Refurbishments page simply lists the attraction closure dates in full.

In June, we’ll surprisingly be missing both Flying Carpets Over Agrabah and Dumbo the Flying Elephant. Well, there’s always Orbitron – Machines Volantes.

Both RC Racer and Big Thunder Mountain will have brief closures, while Space Mountain: Mission 2 goes down for a longer 20 day refurbishment.

Captain EO continues its indefinite closure, but oddly there’s no mention of Armageddon: Les Effets Speciaux, which now seems to have had all its earlier closure dates beyond 26th March 2014 removed: originally pencilled in as every date from 31st onwards. Does that really mean it won’t spend the majority of the year closed after all?

June’s park opening hours are fairly solid throughout, but there’s a couple of interesting points, when you consider Ratatouille: L’Aventure Totalement Toquée de Rémy will be gearing up to open around this period.

First, there’s a very unusual 6pm closing time at Walt Disney Studios Park on Saturday 21st June. This is the first and only Saturday in 2014 where the park will close at 6pm, not 7pm. This can often hint at an after-hours private event… a special preview, or even a press event, perhaps? Something must be planned for that date.

Then, it’s interesting to notice the park’s weekday schedule changes from a 6pm closing to 7pm from Monday, 23rd June. This could just be park switching into busier summer mode, but it also just happens to match the 23rd/28th June dates rumoured by some sources for a “soft opening” of the new attraction: that’s a period of weeks before an attraction’s “official” opening when Disney opens it for certain periods as a kind of live “dress rehearsal” with guests allowed in.

All this remains speculation, as Disneyland Paris refuses to confirm any opening dates, but we’re certainly getting closer…

Discover Ratatouille: The Ride on a brand new teaser page!

Ratatouille: The Ride Disneyland Paris

It’s no secret that Walt Disney Studios Park will expand with a brand new dark ride and restaurant this summer, as Ratatouille: L’Aventure Totalement Toquée de Rémy comes to life in La Place de Rémy, at the back of Toon Studio next to Toy Story Playland.

To begin the countdown, and to help provide a bit more basic background information about the new attraction, you can now find a brand new Ratatouille: The Ride teaser page here, and even featured at the top of every page!

This special page is intended as a temporary teaser, featuring the press release, video trailer and a helpful FAQ with a quick “Where? What? Who?” of the known facts so far.

Over the coming months, DLRP Today will be the main source for news and updates from the development, and if you’re keen to never miss the latest from Rémy’s new Parisian quarter, make sure you’re following both our Twitter accounts or our Facebook page, too:

An opening date still has yet to be announced, but with rumours pointing to early July, with possible previews from the end of June, we could have roughly as little as four months to wait until Ratatouille is finally a reality at Disneyland Paris.

Free Half Board & Up to 30% Off: Disneyland Paris Spring Offer

Buzz Lightyear Disneyland Paris

Who said there’s no such thing as a free lunch? Disneyland Paris has just launched a brand new deal for Spring and Summer arrivals, offering a completely free Half Board Meal Plan on top of a discount of up to 30%.

By their own calculations, Disneyland Paris say this could save the average family of four staying three nights a huge £246.

It might be that you’re a dedicated Half-Boarder already, enjoying the Disney restaurants to their full. But we’re sure there’s also many who don’t stump up the extra for a Meal Plan and stick to the cheaper Counter Service restaurants in the parks — well, this is your chance to enjoy a better Disney dining experience without paying a penny more.

The offer’s open for arrivals from 3rd April to 31st August, and from 24th February for arrivals right up to 12th November. That covers Spring, Halloween — oh, and from “early Summer” (we’d say book late July or August onwards for now just to be sure) the opening of a certain multi-million Euro dark ride.

Book by 31st March and as soon as possible to avoid disappointment.

It’s time to start planning if you’re headed to Disneyland Paris for a May 2014 trip — both park opening hours and ride closure details have now been published for the month.

Closures include Dumbo the Flying Elephant and Les Voyages de Pinocchio in Fantasyland, and the culmination of the major Indiana Jones et le Temple du Péril refurbishment which we reported about this week on DLRP Today. Closed the entire month is Flying Carpets Over Agrabah for a complete mechanical overhaul, as Disneyland Paris continues to apply the spit and polish to Toon Studio ahead of the Ratatouille grand opening.

Disneyland Paris closures & refurbishments for March 2014

Crush's Coaster at Disneyland Paris

The latest Closures & Refurbishments have just been added to our Disneyland Paris calendar.

Covering March 2014, these latest dates include the ongoing closure of Indiana Jones et le Temple du Péril for a complete rebuild of its temple scenery, which Disneyland Paris recently announced should be completed by 28th May 2014.

Meanwhile beginning 17th March is another longer-than-average closure, this time to reportedly see Crush’s Coaster improved with a permanent single rider line and an extended main queue, something fans have been calling for since the attraction opened to enormous success in 2007.
